Olde Point Golf & Country Club
About
Olde Point Golf & Country Club sprawls across a rolling landscape covered with mature trees, sparkling blue lakes, and meandering streams. Native vegetation is abundant across the gentle hills. It is a course that is both scenic and challenging. Built in 1975, it opened to the public a year later although members enjoy guaranteed tee times. The many water features all over the course come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers lurking beside the greens. The doglegs are no easy feat either. From the championship tees, the golf course is a formidable test that requires well placed shots but the three other tees provide a gentler game that is more approachable for beginners. In addition to the golf course, Olde Point also has a grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Had a great time here. The course was in great condition even though there was a crazy storm the day before. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the 19 restaurant at the end of the round for some cold beer while adding up the score. Will definitely play it again
Man in club house very unfriendly
The man who usually works in the clubhouse Monday through Thursday is the rudest person I've ever met. He acts like everyone talking to him is a bother even though I is literally his job to check people in. He is from up north but that should not be an excuse to treat people so poorly. Will not return to this course because of rude staff.
Getting better
The course is getting better since last played and the greens are finally improving
Great value but greens not ready for quality play
The course has a nice layout and the No. 1 handicap hole 11 is a great challenge I would wait a few more weeks for the greens to mature. At this moment they are fuzzy and putting is near impossible for even a short putt.
Great course for the money
Good all around course with moderate difficulty and a fairly good layout. The course was in fairly good shape, especially for this time of year. The staff is very friendly and the pace of play was excellent for us -played in 3 1/2 hours with just a twosome.
Poor Choice
Recently moved the Wilmington and playing all the courses. Very disappointed in course conditions. Fairways were like the rough and the greens were like shag carpet. Nice layout, poor condition.
Some great holes, some need work
It’s the middle of the summer and it’s rained quite a bit, but they can’t seem to grow any grass on the fairways, and even some of the greens. The greens are basically yard grass. The bunkers are hard as cement. The course has a lot of potential and it used to be one of the best around here. There’s some really beautiful and even lush areas, but the majority is bordering on unplayable. Please somebody get in there and save this course.
Save your money
Thick tee boxs, thick fairway, thick greens and appeared to be cut at different links on the green. Very bumpy. Paid 39 bucks on a hot deal and for the quality of the course that was a rip off. I would not pay 39 to play here again.
Olde Pointe Gold & Country Club
Amazing staff…so great I would go back just for that.
Very welcoming culture and great people around. Greens were amazing but fairways could use some tune ups…not too bad though!
Pace or play was hindered by some very slow people that were taking their insanely sweet time.
