Olde Point Golf & Country Club
About
Olde Point Golf & Country Club sprawls across a rolling landscape covered with mature trees, sparkling blue lakes, and meandering streams. Native vegetation is abundant across the gentle hills. It is a course that is both scenic and challenging. Built in 1975, it opened to the public a year later although members enjoy guaranteed tee times. The many water features all over the course come into play frequently and there are also strategically placed bunkers lurking beside the greens. The doglegs are no easy feat either. From the championship tees, the golf course is a formidable test that requires well placed shots but the three other tees provide a gentler game that is more approachable for beginners. In addition to the golf course, Olde Point also has a grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Diamond in the rough
I see this course being a premier course in 5 years
They’re working hard to improve everything!
Friendly, helpful staff
The course was in good condition for late November. Plenty of grass in the fairways. Greens were a little slow, but we were told so at check in. The lady in the pro shop was super friendly and explained course conditions and local rules. Would definitely play here again.
Mobley group
Fairways were in good condition tee boxes need some help greens were very fuzzy need cutting and rolling
An enjoyable day
The course was in the best condition of all the times that I have played it…I have played it two or three times a year for several years. The fairways were green and full. The putting greens were smooth and healthy.
The only negative was that a few of the tee boxes needed some attention.
And to finish the day, the 19th hole provided a nice cold craft brew.
Overall, we were very pleased with our golf outing at Olde Point.
Nasty Lady
The front counter lady would qualify as the worst person ever to be dealing with the public. Don't want to rehash her lack of customer service skills but terrible would fit. Someone this bitter should never represent a company.
Course is a fair layout. Greens are the slowest I've played in 40 years of golf. To be fair they have grass on them. Many fairways are full of weeds. Course needs some attention to detail as well as weed killer. Lots of overdue basic course maintenance. $40 plus dollars to play weekday golf here is waaaay to much.
Slow play and hairy greens
Pace of play fine until 10th hole. Group of 4 in front of us must’ve been first time golfers that didn’t know to let faster twosomes through or they were jerks who didn’t care if they were holding several groups up.
As far as the course, the greens looked like they haven’t been mowed in several days.
Nice track
You're never going to close your eyes and mistake being at Augusta but it's a nice course kept up pretty well traps were raked fairways were cut greens were a little shaggy and slow but otherwise in real good shape great value for the money!
Nice mid-week round
Nothing too fancy, nice round for $28 on golf now. Ground seem to be taken care of but they don't have the staff to get to the details in ground yardage markers were overgrown greens were pretty shaggy tee boxes even grass was long. Kind of nitpicky as I said for a $28 round otherwise played in just under 4 hours as a single will definitely be going back
Great value and good layout
We play here frequently because it’s very inexpensive and offers a great layout . The course is in good condition and greens maintenance is very well
SLOW
The pace of play has been extremely slow the last two times I played this course. They over book the course daily and don’t try to push the speed of play. The lady in the clubhouse is not friendly and had had an attitude every time I’ve been there.
Interesting layout
Enjoyed the round, nice layout, reasonably good shape considering recent heavy rains. No complaints except for very slow pace of play.
