Great Hot deal
We got a great hot deal at $13 each including cart for 18. This was the first time playing this course and will play again. Staff was very nice and felt like I was in a small home town golf course. Pace of play was good even though the course was busy. A couple of fairways was soggy due to watering but they are in good shape. Most of the fairways are somewhat narrow and lined with trees so if you hit straight you will be fine but if don't the trees will reach out and grab your ball. The only negative is the amount of house construction going on. It could have been the noise from machinery and nail guns that contributed to my high score at least that's my excuse. I would recommend this course, the staff is great and the course is very walkable.
Good Course
To Bad it is going away If you haven't played it you should before it does. It a great winter course. The greens were great and the fairways were firm. Great round of golf.
Hidden treasure
Great course kept in great condition. Brand new electric carts - views of the mountain are amazing! Great day golfing!
Course had a different look with the lost of blue nine hole layout.
Public Course
Lipoma Firs was an average course, now 18 holes instead of 27. Nothing special about it.
Well worth the hour drive
Always enjoyed this layout, and a great price to boot!
Used to be 27 holes, some weird par 3s. Now is quality 18 and the layouts are better. Need to play this course a lot more before it disappears.
Worth the time, and a great breakfast
I have played this course many times. Obviously, I am disappointed to hear that it has been sold to a developer. In the meantime I intend to play it as often as possible. The loss of the first nine hurt the pace of play, but I play early so it hasn't been too bad so far.
If your in the area it's worth a play, and the restaurant is very special (especially the breakfast).
Sad to see this course will be gone soon. It's a really nice layout, but all the construction tells you it won't be long. Staff is friendly everywhere except pro shop. We appreciated it being open on the holiday.
Fun and challenging if you are not a straight hitter
Hi All, I really enjoyed the early morning round of golf at Lipoma Firs Golf. The staff were all very friendly and grounds keeping staff were exceptionally aware of the presence of golfers and kept mowing equipment quiet when necessary. Course was in great shape. Sad to see so much development going on around the course though.
Cut the grass below the trees.
This place has a ton of potential. Sad they can't keep the grass, weeds, firns and everything else trimmed just off the fairway and below trees.
First time playing Lipoma Firs
Nice course, you have to be in the fairway, you will not find your ball in the trees. The whole place is tree lined. Greens are a lot faster than you would think. And long par 3's
Love this course
Wife and I adopted this place as our home course. Cal & Rick are great guys to chat with. Layout suits our game.
Buy at a low rate or you'll be wasting your money
The course is fairly decent although it isnt one if the prettiest course you can play when paying at a regular rate. We were told the course is gonna be closing in a year or two and it pretty much shows the lack of caring they have since that is. I prefer other courses but when you pay $13 for the round with a cart i guess you get what you pay for but at a regular rate dont even think about it.
ANY/TIME
I have played here for several years now. Everybody is great they treat me like family. The course always plays well, good luck finding nicer rolling greens this time of year, or any time of year for that matter.I would recommend to any & all any time of year.
Great course
This is a great course to play. Had a great time on the front and got challenged on the back 9.
Sooooo bad
I was playing with the mud instead of playing golf, that's how bad whole course was
