About
Located just south of Grand Avenue in Sun City, Sun City North Golf Course's trademarks are the doglegs and large trees that are present throughout the course. It has many other challenges to offer including plush, elevated greens and numerous sand bunkers. Placid ponds also create water hazards that come into play on two holes. The well-maintained course is relatively flat with plenty of shade, making it enjoyable to walk. The Sun City North Golf Course facility has several amenities including a putting green and chipping area. There is also a fully stocked pro shop and full service grill and deli.

Very friendly staff, course was in good shape and we flew around as it was 112 out and pretty empty...very nice day on the course!
Nice Track
We enjoyed playing had a good time the greens were kind of hard and there were some hard spots in the fairways too but overall it was a great experience.
Large landing areas!
Good course for the money! Good conditions and not too difficult!
Good Value
Good value course for peak season. Would never play here in the summer since the elite courses are affordable by then. But this is a great spot for peak season since it’s affordable and relatively good course conditions. Retirement community golf course so it’s perfect for walking.
Zero customer service; inflexible
Had 1:22 tee time, arrived an hour early. Since covid course doesn't include cart with Hot Deal and doesn't guarantee cart will be available at tee time. We opted to wait for a cart to come in but in over an hour not one group ever came off the 18th hole. Staff never even considered checking out where the backup was. Our tee time cane and went and the starter, Ron, just kept other groups playing thru ahead of us. The 1:37 group included a twosome that somehow had a rental cart. When I questioned Ron how they got one ahead of us he said "first come, first served". We were there an hour early and yet he gave them a cart that rightfully should have been ours. Additionally, they allow fivesomes here and since covid have allowed a many as 5 carts per group. Prior to covid the max was 3 carts per group. This fact alone had at least one group ahead of us with a rental cart as one of the 5. I've been thru this before at this course but kept giving them another chance. Nothing has ever improved and I won't be back.
Good layout typical Sun City course pace of play sucked
Good course and conditions
Course in very good shape. Bunkers worked on since last played and in better shape. 4 hour round went well. Check in smooth and friendly.
Great Value and Conditions
Really enjoyed my afternoon at Sun City North. Fairways were very lush and the greens were true. For the price my experience was unbeatable. I recommend sun city north to anyone looking for an affordable round.
Nice course if price included cart
Can't help but feel Rec Centers of Sun City are ruining reputation of their courses by charging above and beyond the golfnow hot deal price, simply to gouge golfers for more money. They'll make you ride with someone you don't know (guess covid is over) but they won't go back to pricing before covid (cart included). Twosome now pays for two tee times plus an amount equal to another tee time for a shared cart. Only courses in town doing this.
Improved From Last Year
Course is in better shape than last year. Greens consistent and smooth. About 4 hours for the round so not bad.
Improved From Last Year
Course was much greener and the greens in great shape. Last year rough was dry and hardpan but this year you can play off grass. Greens were smooth and very receptive. Played in 3:45 walking. This is a nice layout and decent test of golf. Staff are always friendly.
Confusing start
The course is in good condition from tees to greens. (If more golfers could fix their ball marks, that would be great)
The problems began when the course ran out of carts so tee times got all messed up. Groups were waiting well past their tee times waiting for a cart. We were walking so it did not affect our tee time. The Pro shop had us start off on 10 while another group for the same time started on 1 with carts. Some groups, for some unknown reason thought that they were playing the same 9 twice and did not cross over to the other 9. This happened with the group on our back 9 (which was the front 9 normally) They played the same front 9 along with the group ahead of them instead of crossing over to the back 9. This backed up the front 9 (our back 9) Not sure why if your playing 18 that you would want to play the same 9 twice when the course was fully open. I guess they thought since there was two duplicate tee time that they were supposed to play the same half the course while the other tee time played the other 9 twice.
I've noticed that other Sun City courses are doing the two groups per tee time and having one group start on 1 and the other on 10. This just causes more confusion at the turn. If you don't enforce golfers to keep pace, then this practice will just clog things up later. I'm sure that groups that started earlier that day don't like have a group suddenly appear in front of them on 10 either. Or start a new group on 1 when you started on 10 and now have to wait on them. Confused yet? You are not alone.
sun city north
My gripe is not with the course but with the assioation the runs the place. We had to pay an extra $25.76. for a cart fee. We will find elsewhere to play the rest of the winter.
