Fairway is like airport runway
Bare dirt fairway. This course is going down hill so quickly. Hopefully it’s getting better when longwood reopens. I’m not going here anymore till they improve the course.
Good to be back
It had been over three months since playing this course due to the extreme heat. Fairways are still recovering, greens are just as good as always.
Maybe better when grass grows
Course should change fees based on course conditions, this isn’t an $80 round when they can water the fairways
Course is in poor condition
Obviously there is some course management issue that needs to be addressed. In my opinion they shouldn't be charging there customers $90.00 on the weekends to play. Until they fix there course management issue's. I will not return until this happens.
Needs help
Course is in bad shape....understand its hot but other courses in the area that have cheaper green fees are in much better condition. Tee boxes and fairways are awful. Greens are in pretty good shape.
Marshall not enforcing pace of play very well.
Avoid this course
The pace was so slow. The club house won't do anything about it.
Also the course us hard as rock due to the explosion of the water pump
Not worth it
Texas heat killing local courses
This was a solid course where having your driver dialed in will pay off big time. Lots of long par 4s. I’ll definitely be back.
The greens were nice and watered but everything else was basically like hitting off of concrete. Think I snapped more tees just trying to put them in the ground than I did actually hitting off of them. But unfortunately with this Texas heat it seems like this is the norm for most courses in the area right now.
Dead pan
Fairways are so dry it is like hitting off dead pan.
Everything’s dead
No grass at all on the fairways, water pump went out so they have to hand water the greens. Loved this course…. Hate seeing it go bad. Not worth the price right now given that there is no green grass in the fairways.
More grass.
Plenty of grass for July. Thankful that Cypress Lakes continues to provide an affordable and solid course to play.
Very nice course. The only thing I would recommend is adding a few more signe for directions because first time players can get a bit confused at the turn.
I enjoyed my round. I will definitely play this course again.
Hot June Day
This day was rough, over 100 degrees. The course layout was interesting, lost a lot of balls due to not knowing the course. If you can sometimes smoke it over 280, I’d recommend just hitting a long iron or hybrid off the tee.
Greens are under repair so that sucked, all Sandy. Overall , not bad for 35 plus taxes and fees.
