Blue Sky Golf Club (formerly known as Mill Cove Golf Club), which opened in 1990, is an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course located in the heart of the Jacksonville golfing community.
Blue Sky Golf Club has wetlands and marsh areas, tree-lined fairways and native bunkers.
The par-72 golf course measures 6,784 yards from the longest tees. The course rating is 72.1, with a slope rating of 130 on Bermuda grass.

Golf Club Making A Come-Back!
My only complaint about this Club is that the course tends to be narrow and doesn't allow a lot of room for error. The last 4 holes of the back 9 are tough, some of the toughest I've played! That being said, the facilities are wonderful with plenty of entertainment outside of golfing. The staff was friendly and open, amd there were even families and children here! It felt like a place that has evolved from the proletariat country clubs of the past. I will be going again and am considering membership!
Short easy course
The course is short and not very difficult. The staff was not friendly at all upon check in. For $50 a round, you can get much more value elsewhere.

fun round with strangers
the course needs some improvement and seems that they are trying to do that now. The greens were just okay and the tee boxes needed some work. The layout was fun and forgiving. I would recommend playing this course but just know it's not like it is in the pictures.

Not bad but nothing to write home about
Course is wide open, and relatively short. This makes you feel waaay better than you actually are. Greens need some love, but for the right price it's not horrible

18th Hole
Had a very great round till I teed of on 18. Was disappointed that it was car path only. Made it difficult to finish the round. Made the place very slow. I was told it was the courses signature hole.

Just the worst!
So this place is just horrible. We went a week before and got rained out. So they gave us rain checks.... kinda. They said since only one person made the tee time they had to put all three on his account. We re scheduled and confirmed that we could use out rain checks for the tee time we requested. SEVERAL times. We show up and they wanted 50 EXTRA to play and super rude about it. We played the course it it was just garbage. Greens have large patches of grass just eaten up and bunkers were hard. Fairways were ok. I just can’t believe they wanted so much to play here. I’m local and play a lot and won’t be back!

Can’t believe their thinking!
Have been playing here for many years including post BSky era. Was tickled when Hampton group bought it and renovated it. Been playing there regularly, couple times a week, including weekend. But recently found out , to my surprise while checking in that the prices on weekend mornings have gone up almost $20 a round, they call it flex-pricing. Over $60 dollars have priced them off my list to play as well as everyone in our regular group. It’s sad that they have done this, I’m sure I’m not the only one whom have sworn off this place due to their insistence of try to make a few more $$$ at the expense of many longtime loyal customers!
For this kind of $$$ I expect a whole lot more! There are to many other courses for $40-$50 that I will be play to play regularly!

Overpriced
I have played Blue Sky a handful of times. The renovated clubhouse and new practice facilities are a nice addition. It’s a shame that golfers have to hit off of mats.
It has never been a well manicured golf course tee to green, but today was better than what it has been in the past. Green were punched about 2 weeks ago. They were still pretty bumpy. Fairways are much better than what they used to be. There are still some spots that are undesirable, but not a ton. I did not find a bunker today, so comments on them. For $65 I would have wanted a bit more. Even for a Sunday morning tee time, that’s about $20-30 too much for this golf course in my opinion. I’d love to come back when the greens are smoother, but would still not want to pay $65.
With all that said, pace of play was great. Played in 3 1/2 hours. Staff was friendly. Fun layout.

Not worth the money!
It is beyond me how they can charge $40 a round for this cow pasture!

Bad greens for $72
Worst greens I have ever played on. I can understand punching holes in the greens, but don't charge $72. The only good thing was pace of play.

Greens and maintenance
The greens were in atrocious shape and the maintenance crew was spray and working on the greens and fairways while we were taking shots and showed no courtesy to players in the fairway or tee box. Tried to speak to management and I was informed that they were not on site. Left my phone number and it’s 6:30 pm and still haven’t received a call. This used to be a nice course but has taken a turn for the worse.

Up and coming course
This course is a great layout and great fun. The only downside is the conditions of some of the greens. Patchwork like crazy. I feel like a quality greens keeping staff and a little elbow grease would make this course a true gem.

Wow. What a mess this place has become,,no grass on tee boxes,,very little fairway grass and bumby. ,greens all patchwork,,golf carts falling apart,,all this for $ 47. Bucks,,outrageous ,,,,WONT BE BACK

Would love to play this course when it’s at its finest.
I really liked the design of this course. Challenging but fun! The biggest issue, however, was that there were tons of patches of sod all over the course (including a few greens) and they honestly could patch up a few more areas. Obviously I just caught this course at the wrong time, but I’d like to play this course again once the grass is repaired.
