I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

Island Green Photo submitted by BroncoBilly on 01/28/2013
The best course that I have played golf at so far. Other then the extreme rain that drove move off the course, while the weather was good, it was a terrific golfing experience.
Two Nines-Two Experiences
Played South/East nines on a warm and humid day. Overall a good day, and playing as a twosome with my wife made things seem slow since we were behind a threesome playing behind a foursome . But actually got around in about 4 hours..Big complaint was South nine's greens had been recently plugged and greens were a bit bumpy. No problems with a course getting aerated, but I do feel price adjustments should be made.. At a minimum the websites should indicate when a course has been or will be aerated.
If Only I had Finished the Round
Played the North & East. Was only able to get 14 holes in before a downpour. Definitey worth the price I paid and more. Good condition and a fair challenge of distance and accuracy especially if you mix tee boxes. Only concern is a few of the greens seem to be getting stressed, but hopefully they will hold up...
Hope to come back and finish what I started or experience the other 27 holes that are part of the property.
Great Experience
Awesome golf resort...played east and north ...in great condition considering lack of rain... staff and personnel are as nice as it gets very welcoming...The New course is still my favorite...a must play
Good course
Had a good time on this course. Pro shop staff was ok, but the starter was a complete idiot. Very unfriendly and totally unwilling to be accomadating.
Beautiful course but poor pace of play
This course is beautiful and was in great shape. Some of the greens were a bit bumpy with bare patches but overall they were in pretty good condition despite the drought. We tee'd off in the early afternoon and unfortunately the pace of play was horrible. The course was backed up and we waited for the group(s) ahead on each tee and most fairway shots. The wait on the back nine was ridiculous with often 2 groups waiting at the tee boxes. Played North/East. South course was closed. Round took well over 5 hours. Despite the slow pace, I would enjoy playing this course again next time I'm in Orlando.
FIRST CLASS
PERFECT WEATHER AND FIRST CLASS PROPERTY
GOLF COURSE IS VERY GOOD SHAPE WITH TOUGH AND VERY FIRM GREENS
THE ONLY THING MISSING IS A GPS SYSTEM
Gran Cypress
This course was outstanding. It was our first time playing so not knowing the layout and greens made for a long day for the scorecard. Playing it a second time I'd make some adjustments. Fairways and greens were perfect. We wouldn't change a thing, I would recommend playing this beautiful course.
Course Was In Great Shape; Slow Play
Played course a month ago. Course in improved shape except for sand traps. Tees still need more grass;less weeds. Need more sand. Otherwise course conditions were very good; fairways, greens and rough. Slow play as there were MANY groups on the course all day.
Great Nicklaus layouts in a beautiful setting.
For us - a group of 11 from Scotland/France, this club sets the standard in course preparation, enjoyment, and service in the Orlando area. The greens were impeccable, the challenges varied - sometimes amusing! - and everything just right. The entire staff are eager to please. From here we go on to play the South 9 and the New.
A great experience!
Top to bottom a great golfing experience! Pace of play could have been better but overall a great day of golf.
Premium Course
Buddies trip so first time playing or even hearing about this course. Lived it from the. I mentioned we pulled in the tree lined entry. The Conditions were awesome. If you've read any of my reviews you know I place heavy rating in the greens performance and these did not disappoint. As good as any. The layout was. Very fun and interesting.. I thought it was very fair, even for a first timer I don't know, some places just have a feel to them and this one did....a good one. Clubhouse was high end and the. Eat we had was good as well. Good pro shop too. Staff was friendly. Really glad I played it, would highly recommend. One of my favorites on our trip.
play this course
from the time we valet parked i was in love with this place. the locker rooms were exquisite and well appointed. the pro shop even had a hat i bought on sale..this course made me wish i had brought my camera. each hole was more beautiful than the last one. the greens were quite challanging and undulating with several different levels. play the course. you will find danger lurking insome of the large sand traps and fairways that are sloped toward the water. bring your A GAME .
i can"t wait to play it again.
Grand Cypress
Played this course for the first time and totally enjoyed all aspects. Pace of play was excellent and we will be back!!!!
Very nice course
Great experience. We played the south-east courses. We need to go again and try the north-south as we were told it is the nicest combination.
I'll be back
Played the North and South. Nice layout and very good condition. A few of the pin placements were a bit ridiculous and with speed of the greens I felt it a tad unfair to the average golfer IMO especially when you hit above the hole with a wedge and balls falls off the green the opposite direction entirely. But that's my only gripe. Course is very friendly off the tee and some great holes. I really enjoyed playing it though and think it benefits someone visually if you can play there a few times. Great food at the clubhouse too, not typical fare of the normal golf courses I play.
