I got lucky with a pitching wedge and landed about 15' from the pin. The pin placement this round was tough with holes tight to the front edges. Photo submitted by knichola on 08/19/2013

A "gotta play" course in the Orlando Area
Went on a 4 day golf junket. All of us agreed that this was the best course we played. Played other 'championship' courses in area, and all were nice for various reasons, yet this course was clearly the one we all rated #1 of the four courses on this trip.
Definitely a "must play"
Excellent Course
One of the best courses I've ever played. Pristine conditions and outstanding layout that challenges, but is playable. Scenery is excellent.
Beauty of a layout
Fun and challenging holes, water, sand in abundance but not too penal if you keep it in play! Very enjoyable.
Fantastic Course
Love this course. Played South and East. Like playing two different courses. South much more challenging. In great shape. Seemed like we had the place tour ourselves. Finished in 3.5 hours.
Not that great
Always heard good things about grand cypress. For being a jack Nicklaus signature I was very very disappointed. I've played many Nicklaus courses and I just expected a lot more from the course than what they provided. I played east and north Course and there are 2 different types of grass on the greens.
Staff and food was great!
Great course
I have played the other courses at Grand Cypress, but this was my first time on the East/ North courses. To start the staff was very friendly both in and out of the clubhouse. The course was in great shape and unfortunately suffering from what all the golf courses are suffering from which is lack of rain, but it was only noticeable in a few small areas. Tee boxes in great shape and greens rolled nice. Would definitely play here again!
Amazing
Simply amazing. Course is in wonderful shape! This is a must play course! Great value.
This is the best value in Orlando
I'm not sure what the regular rate for the course is however, I paid $53 for a world class layout. They valeted my car, range balls were included and the course was in great shape. After all of that, I had a great lunch. I've play bad courses for $45, there is no comparison.
Cyprus - A new meaning in golf
Been to the Orlando area many times and never played here, what a mistake! What a fantastic layout of golf holes. Played East and North and really enjoyed the course characteristics.
Greens we're running very true considering they had been top dressed a few weeks before. I will be back to play again....
Not a happy experience
An enjoyable well laid out relatively undemanding front nine was followed by a less happy second half.
A steel bar fell from the back of the golf cart ,crushing my foot which did not help my swing tempo ,or mood,
specially when faced by a relentless succession of fairways compromised by woods or water and serrried banks of bunkers guarding every green.
Great course, Positional play more important that hitting long off the tee.
Excellent course, nicely matured. Lots of water but enough room to avoid unless you are tempted to take a lot of risk. Greens were very fast. South 9 holes particularly pretty. The building site area kind of ruins the view on a few holes.
well maintained.
Very interesting course well looked after. Easy to find
I would play this course again.
A delight!
Wonderful course, worth a visit.
great course
They had recently top dressed greens and that is why the price was so low. Even with the dressing the greens were better than many in the area.
Always have loved playing here. It just gets better with age.
a Nicklaus masterpiece
Perfectly manicured and devilishly difficult. A true golfing pleasure. Excellent layout and every hole had plenty of challenges requiring a precise shot and perfect club selection. Needless to say, I ended up with a high score but thoroughly enjoyed playing it and certainly recommend it highly.
Grand Cypress East Course...great track..
We played the east course at 8.30am on a beautiful Florida morning,as the other courses were rammed we played the east 9 twice and this did not detract from a great morning golfing. The course has a variety of tees to choose from that offer golfers of all abilities a fun and interesting challenge, the course was in great condition despite quite a lot of rain...all the staff we came across we're very friendly and helpful.I would not hesitate to play at Grand Cypress again in the future....
GOLF as it should be
Driving down the avenue to the clubhouse, your mouth waters at the golf holes in store, and you won't be disappointed.
The greeting is friendly and the complimentary car valet a splendid touch. The clubhouse is like a hotel lobby and the pro shop small, but well-stocked, although don't expect to find any cheap bargains here.
Pyramids of complimentary balls greet you on the range and an efficient starter soon has you on your way. The fairways and greens are well defined and in good condition. The course is well designed and cleverly bunkered, with water hazards throughout.
It's worth driving your cart a little slower than normal to enjoy the countryside.
A definite return for us.
It Is Grand
Played N & S 9's. S greens recently aerated so putting was somewhat compromised. N greens fast & true. Fairways and rough in excellent condition. Par 5-15 can turn a good round south real fast, especially if into the wind. The small elevated green is a real challenge.
I was also there this weekend and Course is NOT in good shape. In process of overseeing and tee boxes weren't even mowed. 2 different grasses on east and north courses.
