The best of the two at Oasis
This course has got to be in the top 3 or 4 courses in Mesquite. It's a beautifully laid track with lots of variations between each hole, lots of elevations, forced carries everywhere, long and challenging. Like most courses in mesquite which are surrounded by desert hazards, this one also calls for accurate shots off the tee box. If you pepper your shot off the tee box left or right, good luck finding your ball. The Palmer is the best of the two courses that Oasis offers, but it is also the most difficult of the two. I would rank this course up there with Wolf Creek and Conestoga. A must play if you visit Mesquite! Bring your camera because you're going to get to see a lot of wild life.
Where have I been?!
We've been going to Saint George and Mesquite for years. When in Mesquite, we have played the Casa Blanca, which is still a fun course and well maintained, AND the Palms, which has a good course layout, back nine very different than the front nine, but tragically the Palms has been grossly neglected and deteriorating each year.
The real tragedy is my ignorance - somehow we were unaware of the Oasis Palmer & Canyons. Hotdiggidydog! What a fun discovery! Oasis Palmer & Canyons our new favorite. Incredible course layout and fantastic condition. I didn't even know about GOLFNOW until I ran into a gentleman from the UK in the casino. Ahh the Brits, still good allies.
Hoping our grandson has many more opportunities like this. Would love to afford a winter retreat in Mesquite. $$$
Staff was rude and no golf carts
Waited for lunch lady was rude and told me it wasn't her problem we had a tee off time and that they were busy in the dining room which she continued to service other clients and never did come and serve us. Then we teed off 8 minutes late as there were no carts as a group of players were playing both days so the club decided to leave clubs on their carts for the following day. We were waiting around with 4 other groups for our carts while no one was on the tee box. Management at this course is very poor and they need to make a serious change.
Overall experience was good. Could have used a little help to move things along. Played 18 in the dark. Second thought I played all 18 in the dark😂 Look forward to our next opportunity to play there and recommend it!
Great Course!
My husband and I very much enjoyed playing the Palmer course! We would love to come back when it's not raining because it's a great course and beautiful with a lot of unique and fun holes ! Unfortunately it begin to rain on the back nine and the car paths were EXTREMELY slick and dangerous coming down the steep grades! in fact the other couple we were with slid a complete 180 two different times on two different hills--and they were going slowly too. The steep hill at 17 tee box especially! Some sort of anti-slipping strip should be placed on this steep grades so nobody gets seriously injured!
I highly recommend this course--but not in the rain!
Beautiful views
Nice course with beautiful views. Lots of blind shots, but a very friendly layout.
