The Cascade at Gold Mountain Golf Course
About
There are two championship courses available at Gold Mountain Golf Club, the Cascade and the Olympic. Taking advantage of the dramatic Pacific Northwest surroundings, the courses offer stunning views from nearly every hole. If the dramatic elevation changes of the Olympic Course are overly intimidating, the more walkable Cascade Course will be ideal. It may be less challenging but that doesn't mean it's easy. The openness of the golf course is misleading, if you want to score low you will actually need strategic, well placed shots on each hole. There are some tricky holes but overall it's a course that will appeal to players of all skill levels. Ample driving areas frame the tree-lined fairways and the player-friendly greens are open and inviting. Gold Mountain's Cascade Course is often the top choice for tournament play.

highly recommended
Great course. Challenging, and just enough forgiving for an intermediate player like me. Greens well groomed (although some had too much tree debris to clear easily).
Beautiful Mountsin Course
Played Cascade 3 PM Hotdeal, good value in this neck of the woods. Course conditions great, playing partners great. Hilly course with many great views. I'm not a local and really appreciated the atmosphere. Greens tiered and sloped were difficult to get a handle on 3 putted at least 5 times all making bogey. Short side the green and chipping is difficult. Definate play. Be careful in the Carts, brakes are worn down.
Cascade
Very nice golf course layout, hilly, sloped greens, decent size fairways, conditions lush. Grass is very thick resulting in good lies everywhere. Did not go into any of the bunkers even though there are a few on each hole. They were deep. Tree lined fairways where most trees are 100 ft or taller, great surrounding with beatiful views. Greens difficult to putt with big breaking putts due to slopes but are fair, local knowlege required for good putting. Golf in the Great NorthWest! No reason not to play here.
Sunday on the golf course.
Good round on a Sunday afternoon, approximately 4 hours, course as always in good shape, greens putted true, paired up with good people. Fun.
Excellent Value
Can't beat the price...$27 twilight rate on a Saturday afternoon. Course was in excellent shape. Got through 18 holes in just over 4 hours. Pin placements were difficult. All in all, an excellent experience.
Nice Course
Nice course.
Marshall is very unprofessional and intrusive, even when you are running ahead of schedule.
Carts are run down and unsafe.
Other staff is polite and helpful. No bar or restaurant because of a wedding. So only snack food available.
great day
overall, we had a great time, and the golfing was good. would definitely recommend this course...
great golfing skip the bar
I hadn't played at Gold Mtn. in a couple years, but have played it often over the past 20+ years. It is truly a beautiful course (played the Cascade track, but the Olympic is equally picturesque and serene). It is nice to play a course that isn't surrounded (crowded) by houses.
Forget having a beer afterward, however, unless you have a Warren Buffet size bank account. I can't believe they have the gall to charge $6 for a pint. I'll play out there again, but I assuredly will not partake in the 19th hole again unless they get aligned with the going rates (high in places but not highway robbery like that).
Beautiful Course
This course is well maintained nestled in the forested foothills near Bremerton Washington. There are two 18 hole courses; Cascade and Olympic. Olympic is the more challenging of the two courses but both are well above average. We played the Cascade course on this outing. The both the front and back play long but more so on the back due to significant elevation changes. Hole 12 is a bugger; 351 yrd. par 4 with the last 120 yrds up a steep hill. Hit it up the hill and watch the ball come back down; it's a great game.
Fun in the morning
Got a Tee time for 6 A.M. It was a great day. A little cool to start with, but perfect for walking. The dew was a little heavy so the ball did not get as much of a role as you might like, but over all I would say that I had a great outing. Started at 6, was in the car leaving by 9:30.
Fabulous
Fast greens. Very lush. Every hole is a photo op. I walked it, next time I think I'd like a cart.
Course in great shape!
Greens are very well maintained, play fast and true.
Rough is deep, but not unfair.
Fairways are wide and forgiving, lots of trees.
When the weather is nice, as it was when we played, the course is gorgeous!
The clocks at various holes keep you aware of your speed of play, and we never had to wait, nor did we hold up others.
Beer was cold, food was excellent, servers were very polite and efficient, as were the front desk people.
We always look forward to playing Gold Mountain, even though it's an hour drive.
Good price!
We found very good price from the Golf now.
A little bit far away from my home but it was very good course for the price.
I will come back again soon.
Still golden...
If your game is not quite up to the challenge of the Olympic Course, Cascade is a nice option. Very similar layout but not as demanding. The course is in good shape despite all the recent rain; greens are firm and fast. Our twosome walked in less than four hours.
Good Course!
The course was in excellent condition. The pace of play was good and the Marshall was excellent.
Walking is a workout
I golf partly for exercise and this course is a nature hike. A lot of hills and when I reached the 18th I had enjoyed an excellent workout.
Cascade worth the trip
Went out and played with our girls golf team before their tournament. The course was in excellent shape and the greens were fast. The staff from the pro shop guys to the girls taking care of the carts were awesome. Love this course and the entire staff. Definitely will be back to play numerous times.
Great course
This course is player friendly. Not much trouble off the tee, only had 1 water hazard that I can remember. What you see is what you get
Good diversity of features
We consider this course as one of our very best to play during our golf year. It drains well, it is usually in good condition, and the holes represent a good diversity of conditions that make play very interesting.
Can't Beat It
Either Gold Mtn. course is a good deal at full price but we played the Cascade for about $26 each and got a replay on the Olympic for $15! Included power carts. You just "Can't Beat It".
