The Home Course
About
The Home Course in DuPont is considered one of the best public golf courses in Washington. Throughout the walkable layout, golfers will enjoy scenic views of the Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and Mount Rainier. It's a long course at 7,424 yards from the back tees. The challenging greens play fast and true, and they are complemented by wide fairways with generous landing areas. There are several challenging holes where you'll face strategically placed bunkers and subtle, but tricky elevation changes. The golf course begins with a few open, parkland holes and then it gets more challenging. The seventh hole is one of the toughest, starting from an elevated tee to a green that is neatly tucked behind a lake. The final holes provide stunning mountain views for a memorable finish.

Pace of play
The staff didn't explain the Golf Now relationship when I paid, I told him that I already paid online. He said that isn't how it works and that Golf Now only gets "one" T-time per day from the course online. The rest are just like you walked in. All Golf Now did was reserve a T-time for us. No discount, and no pre-pay.
Great course, no marshals to make sure pace of play was in order. Beginners sharing a bag of clubs in front of us should never have been allowed to Tee Off!
My WA Course of Choice
Been going to the Home Course since it opened, and it's my number 1 in Western WA. Keeps you challenged with its greens, but the course is very playable for all skill levels. Perfect blend in my opinion.
If i were to complain about one thing is that it's been open for a while, and they still have yet to open a club house. BUT if that's my only complaint then I am fine. I don't play it on busy days, so I can't say much about the pace of play.
Definite must play!!!!
Clubhouse still under construction?
Great course, 6 tee boxes, nice layout.
Pro shop and restaurant have a sign outside saying to be complete in Spring 2014... No effect on course or play, just thought to myself, "Man, I would've taken that sign down a long time ago."
Course is in great condition
The Home Course is in great shape as is expected. Usually one of the best maintained courses in the area. Pace of play was a bit slow, as it was a holiday weekend (took nearly 5 hours). Would have liked to see some course marshals and a beverage cart on the course. Got a great deal as a member of the WSGA.
Good course, temporary clubhouse
This was my first time playing this course and I was looking forward to an upscale clubhouse (as compared to my home course of West Seattle) but was disappointed to find temporary trailers The course was in good shape and the grass driving range was a plus.
Allways Good
Once again the Home course was in great shape. Greens were quite fast , probably because of the recent US Open qualifying. The only thing this course needs is a nice clubhouse and beverage service.
Wow just WOW
This was my first time ever golfing here and I can honestly say I have just found my new home course, two of us went with the range balls and pushcarts for under $110? I don't know if there is any better deal on a more beautiful course and location in this state. Needless to say I will be going there at leas this was my first time ever golfing here and I can honestly say I have just found my new home course, two of us went with the range balls and pushcarts for under $110? I don't know if there is any better deal on a more beautiful course and location. I will be going at least twice a month to this place if not more, I've hit a lot of courses around here and it's great for beginners and experts.
Great course, best value
This course might have been the best I've ever Played for less than 50 dollars with cart.
The only downside is the food/beer truck and the pro shop are out of trailers, once that's in buildings that will make it a five in all categories.
Great Round 2 negatives
Of course the course was pretty immaculate in prep for the U.S. Open qualifier. Greens were great, tee boxes and fairways as well. Only negatives I saw all day day were we did not see cart girl until #17 (well after 11am) and I can say ALL bunkers were not prepped as I hit one on 18 and it was hard and unprepared for the day. Was in four others which were immaculate.
Great Track!
This was a practice round for the U.S. Open qualifier for me and I caught a cold windy day. I played from the Dynamite tees which meant covering 7424 yards and somehow every hole seemed to play into the wind. :-)
The fairways were firm and dry which meant getting a little help with roll out but approaching most par 4's with long irons from these tight lies proved challenging.
The greens rolled true and the conditions were great all around. If I lived closer this would be a great "Home Course" for me.
Good golf course
Very good golf course. Lots of play that shows in areas. Long walk which slows the pace of play at times. A must play though if in the area.
no air compressor
The 2 people we played with were slow, we played 14 holes.
Awesome
The Home Course is playing really good right now. The greens are challenging, but roll true. The fairways bounce and roll with tight lies. The bunkers are nicely maintained and can pose some challenges. A true links style course with some spectacular views. I can't wait to play it again.
Very Slow Pace of Play
the first 3 holes took 1hr n 30 min--our tee time was at 2 pm n we finished at 7:15 pm--we saw many frustrated players waiting at each hole--heard there were bunch of high school kids
Typical Home Course
What is there to say? This is a great course. Greens were in good shape. Just a few wet areas but it is still spring. Overall facilities rating is simply based on how can a course of this caliber still have a trailer for a pro shop and a snack truck for a restaurant? Are all the green fees going to Chambers? Take down the sign that shows us what a clubhouse will look like and just build one already.
All that aside, great course and will be back again when it is drier and even faster.
Great day - great course
Course is in good shape considering recent work on the greens.
As Expected
The Home Course delivers every time. Well worth the money. Greens were fast and challenging.
GREAT COURSE
The course in in Great shape, great staff and I never been there when its been busy. One of my favorites however I love links golf! Only needs a legitimate club house to be top shelf
Great day on the links!
My son & I had a wonderful time, course is in wonderful shape, fairways & greens, Bill is a friendly guy full of useful info. Will play again!
Right at Home
Played just like it always plays...... Some of the best golf in the Pacific North West Tee to Green.
