Port Ludlow Golf Resort
About
The Resort at Port Ludlow sits along the shores of the Puget Sound with views that stretch across the Port Ludlow Bay. Located just 90 minutes from Seattle, the resort offers a luxurious waterfront inn, a marina, an award-winning restaurant, and a championship 18-hole golf course. Robert Muir Graves designed the course. He crafted a layout that challenging but rewarding, all while preserving the beautiful natural surroundings. The golf course is just one of 10 in the state of Washington that is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. During your round, you'll enjoy abundant wildlife and panoramic views of the Hood Canal and Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges. The golf course isn’t long but it's tight and will require both accuracy and strategy. Many holes are dramatically sloped and there are hazards facing you at almost every turn.

Nce course, but play was extremely slow.
I enjoy playing the course, but the last 2 times pace of play has been slow. Today was the worse, with the round taking 5 hours and 40 minutes. We had to what on every hole and every shot. If the course isn't going to put a marshal out, they need to increase the tee times to 10 minutes.
Port Ludlow Golf Links is not a links course, but it is one of the most beautiful courses you’ll ever see
From the first moment I laid eyes on this emerald green Pacific NW classic I knew I’d found my spot in Washington.
The course is up and down, carved through a lush forest of giant cedar and fir trees, and it really makes you think on every shot. The fairways are lushious, and you’ll take huge perfect divots with every iron shot. And, the greens are in excellent condition, and they can be very, very tricky to read, especially for first time players.
Before you play Port Ludlow, be sure to read the pro’s playing tips on their website, because every hole slopes in one direction or another, that’s not always obvious from the tee box. And, without local knowledge, you can easily find yourself in the trees or in a lake when you thought you’d hit a perfect tee ball.
Port Ludlow is my favorite course in Washington, and it’s a terrific bargain too, especially late in the day when you can book a tee time for 18-holes on GolfNow for just $25, including cart. I’m sure you’ll love it too, but don’t be surprised if this deceptive little gem kicks your butt the first few times you play it.
Great Views
Great views while playing on a really nice golf course. Very good conditioned fairways and greens. We love the place.
Course in great condition.
We had not played the course for many years and
booked it for our Anniversary. We got there very early because we had not idea what the traffic would be.
They got us right out which was so nice.
We enjoyed the course very much and would highly recommend it to our friends.
Port Ludlow
We had a fun 18-hole round and look forward to playing Port Ludlow again. Besides being a well-maintained golf course, Niblicks Café is tops! Also the staff is friendly and helpful.
Greens are lighting fast. Fairways good too
Greens are lighting fast. Fairways good too. Good deal via golf now that’s the same cost in shop. Enjoyable layout. Look out for 18!!!! Would play again for sure. I’m from Jersey and used Golf Now to pic scenic course outside Seattle. Perfect. Took Bremington ferry to Seattle next day. Highly recommend
Port Ludlow again
Another great day. Even though full sheet barely any wait time. Wind had blown tree seeds all over greens but wasn’t a big issue. Recommend this Hot Deal when available at lowest price.
Great round. Great course layout. Fantastic practice facility.
Saturday was my first round at Port Ludlow Golf. All and all it was a great round, a great experience, and I will most certainly play there again.
I took advantage of the Golf Now "Hot Deal" and played this course at an absolute steal.
The practice facility was above and beyond. I arrived an hour before my tee time and fully utilized the driving range, putting green, and BOTH practice chipping areas. They skimp you on the balls though, but oh well.
Course was fantastic. No two holes touch. Almost every hole is guarded by forest on both sides. Challenging buy fun layout with bunker guarded greens, random trees that affect tee shots and fairway shots, and a crazy downhill par 3 that requires precision to "split the uprights" (trees)
CON: I will say however, there was one issue with the round, and that was that there were tiny particles (most likely buds from all the trees) covering the greens. This affected several putts, to the point that my playing partners and I started using our hats and towels to clear the paths to putt to the hole.
The grounds crew could have easily went out in the early morning with blowers and blown this off the greens.
Great round, I will be back.
Shot an 80. 42-38.
Great Shape
They have done some amazing things to this course in the last year. Beautiful golf course and challenging.
Nice course is beautiful setting
This was a great round of golf for the money. This course was in great condition, greens were reasonably fast and the overall settings of the course are just great. Some holes even have a view of the water which is an added plus. Weill be back again.
Recovery Mode
It was a warm sunny day and perfect for a round of golf.. The scenic views are amazing. Unfortunately our region has had over 5 inches of rain during the month of April. Many areas of the course were soggy. The roughs were extra long because the mowers couldn’t mow. I’ll Give this course a couple solid weeks of dry weather to dry out then play it again.
Great Coarse
Very pluggy ,and sloppy this time of year but still an amazing time, Great staff , great driving and putting area ..GREAT COARSE
4 Clown's golfing.
Great shape ! The course is Beautiful! greens are rolling well, a great day!
Over 3 hours to complete back 9
Took over 3 hours to play back nine with no marshal in sight the whole time. Not worth the time from Seattle. Most people don’t have 11 hours to waste in a round of golf.
not yet ready for play
The greens are in great shape but the rest of the course is not in good condition. The fairways are extremely wet and the rough is unplayable in some spots. There was no water put out on the course and the on course bathrooms were locked, so clearly they are not yet ready for golfers. However, when the course dries out it is worth a look.
