Pumpherston Golf Club
About
Pumpherston Golf Club, designed by Graeme Webster, offers a superior golfing challenge, including water features over the length of the 6,000-yard, par-70 golf course and R&A-standard greens.
A round at Pumpherston Golf Club begins on Paraffin Young, a 398-yard par 4 that requires a straight drive and attention on hazards surrounding the green: bunkers right, deep rough behind. Hitters unpack long games on Pentlands, the 516-yard par-5 10th, which features a narrow fairway, requiring a straight tee shot; 150 yards from the green, the fairway drops, making a tricky approach. Close the round on Iranapol, another long hole, at 505 yards and par 5, and where water guards the green, meaning that length alone won't help you.
Book a seat in the Pumpherston Golf Club's clubhouse early - and let the clubhouse caterer know about any dietary restrictions, which the staff can work with - and head up for lunch and a drink with views of the golf course.

Fantastic course
The weather has been awful so the course was holding a LOT of water this made scoring tricky but it’s a superb layout with a lot of variety. A real gem.
Good course on a bad day
Excellent layout, interesting and challenging golf holes and and friendly staff. Unfortunately every time I play, the weather is terrible.
Good pace of play
My son and I were behind a 4 ball and one of the group was in a buggy but they kept up a brisk pace.
The course was in good condition even taking into account the amount of rain, there were no soggy areas or patches. The second hole is an absolute gem.
Excellent clubhouse and practice facilities, highly recommend and we will return frequently : )
Second time round
The fairway grass a bit long but not a criticism because there’s been so much rainfall otherwise, my son and I couldn’t wait to return to PGC. Top quality bacon rolls n coffee, all staff helpful and friendly. The course has a number of tricky holes which great if you like to play for position. The greens were not slow and receptive to a well hit iron. Off course practice facilities are xlent too, well worth arriving at least an hour earlier than tee off. Highly recommend and will return.
Very good
Well worth the money, nice tight course making you think of your next shot.
Will definitely ply again.
Overall course review
Course was in great condition especially the greens, staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Hopefully get to play this course again soon
Glub review
Lovely course got a golf now tee of time, few lovely par 3s and some nice views club house is lovely and great practice area to chip and putt before you play would recommend this place and would go back no problem.. and will.
Great course - poor drainage
Great course, lots of challenging holes and some great short ones that test your shots.
The course was very wet in places (expected this time of year).
Would play again for sure.
We felt we got a bargain at 14 quid for the round!
Worth a visit
Excellent all round course and facilities though some wet areas so might be better avoided during wet weather.
Excellent course
We really enjoyed our round at Pumpherston- the course was on full greens in February which is a rarity for this time of year! The Pro Shop was well socked and the lad behind the counter was very helpful. Excellent pace of play for a Saturday afternoon- quite a few challenging and picturesque holes- we'll definitely be back in the summer.
Grate value for money course
The course is better maintained than most at the same price range! Great value for money, friendly & helpful staff. I highly recommend this golf course.
Coarse is always excellent love playing this coarse
