Given the windy weather conditions the course played well and we had a good days golf.
I have only ever played one other course in Glasgow. However Iv had to move back to balloch so I decided to play dumbarton today the course is brilliant compared to what I’m use to. Overall a great course and seems very popular. Greens were immaculate and the course is very well maintained definitely going again
Ok but greens in very poor condition
Layout is flat with a lot of short par 4’s, with a number of dog legs to keep it interesting. Unfortunately the majority of the greens were in really poor condition - looked like they were burnt - which made putting a bit of a lottery. Cant rate facilities as nothing open due to Covid restrictions. It’s an ok layout for mid to high handicappers but not so much of a challenge for low handicappers or big hitters.
Fantastic and wonderful golf course ⛳, friendly staff. I recommend it to everyone 5*
Nice course
Decent value for money course. The course is well kept and very flat. The clubhouse was closed, probably due to covid but there was no shop available. Would recommend
good value venue
Was met at the clubhouse by a club representative, was made feel most welcome. the course was in good condition for the time of the year, dry under foot and only one winter green, a great day out for aa tenner
Golf
I played the course on 1 August 2018. It was a thoroughly enjoyable outing. I am a 18 handicapper and for someone of my level I found the course to be the right difficulty. Course was relatively flat and in decent condition especially as it had rained the three days prior to playing. My only annoyance was getting stuck behind a three ball who were oblivious to my waiting for 10 mins at every tee on the back nine. I would definitely play this course again.
Nice Course if not wet
First time playing at Dumbarton and unfortunately it was raining from the heavens but it a good course to play and the staff at the clubhouse were very helpful and friendly.
The course is mainly flat but has a burn running through it which make you think about how to play certain holes.
Overall a good place to play golf if your in the area.

I had a very enjoyable round on a nice course, conditions around the course where reasonable although some putting surfaces needed better maintenance, but overall a nice course to play.
