Great little par 3
I came on this course by accident. But was a great find. This is a great place to play if you want to improve your short game or want to teach your young kids or just a quick 9 holes to play. The conditions for this course is in great shape. Bunkers are maintained, tees and greens in good shape and the fairways are well kept. If you walk in and pay the $25 that will make you upset as that is expensive. I found this course for $8 on golf now and had my 10 year old to play for free. We went out 5 days straight and my sons game improved a full 180 degrees. My short game also improved. This a great course for those reasons. Keep up the good work.
A quick 9 holes
This course is a fast par 3 with challenges along the way.
Every hole forces the golfer to consider which club to use and how hard to hit due to the abundance of sand traps.
An overall enjoyable hour to hour and a half.
Nice Course
We had a great day for golf. Check-in was a breeze and the staff friendly at the bag drop, pro shop and starter's area. We were able to get out ahead of schedule. The course is in nice shape, but could have used some more rakes in the sand traps - a group of traps had to share a rake on several holes. It looks as though there might have been another set of tees - red? The forward tees didn't always match up with the scorecard. We would definitely play here again.
Definitely recommend this course
I was skeptical to say the least when reading the reviews for this course, but after playing the course I can say I would not only play it again but recommend it to others. The young lady in the pro shop was extremely nice and the course conditions weren't all that bad at all.
I look forward to playing the course again!
stay away waste of money
On arrival we were told that the floodlights on hole 4 were not working so we thought no big deal, we started playing but found the tees in very poor condition, missing out hole 4 because no lights we moved onto 5 there were 12 floodlights on this hole only 1 at the tee and 1 at the hole were working so not easy to see the bell. We then moved onto hole 6 no lights working on the tee so it was pitch black only a couple of lights working at the green, I was very disappointed as this course is offered as floodlight but so many not working, anyone who is thinking about playing this I would say for the $30 they charged us each go somewhere else
Goat Farm. Terrible condition
I can't believe they charge $30 to play 9 holes on this goat farm. I've only played one other course in my life that was in worse condition. The only redeeming quality is the night golf available after dark, but even that is sketchy with insufficient lighting to track your ball in flight. The course is worth about $10 per round if you just want to work on your iron shots from the tee box. The greens don't roll well at all and the grounds are not kept to golf course standards. It feels like backyard golf.
A Nice Walk
The course isn't very difficult, but was in good shape. Many small hills give the walker some exercise. We got around in about one hour and fifteen minutes. Other then a lady walking through the course and picking up my ball (and keeping it) it was a pleasant day.
wonderful design for a nine hole par three coirse
I played this course many years ago, and it was the best maintained course bar none. This is not the case now. The greens and fairways need work. This is a shame because the layout is great, but not worth what they are charging for greens fees.
GREAT WALKING COURSE
This is the second time I've played this course. Excellent course to just practice your game. Little challenge and short game friendly. If you want a course that doesn't take much time this is it but still has challenge to it. Has bunkers and everything else the 18 holers have except the distance. Anyone can enjoy this course.
The Walk
Excellent course for a quick 9 holes or for teaching young golfers the game. However, course surface has deteriorated considerably over the years. I'm sure Arnold Palmer would not be happy.
Legends Orange Lake
Played in Feb and grass still dormant. Greens ran fast. Course fairly wide open.
Legends walk
Ok have to admit this was the first lighted course I have played on. Really was not impressed but got a good rate because I got a package price for 1 round on this course, the Reserve course and the Legends Course at the Orange Lake Resort. Made it worth while. Anyway I played again at light and course was not lite very well. mainly a first on the tee box and then around the green. Made it hard to find you ball if you did not hit around the green. Take a flashlight if you plan to play it at night.
It was great
I was satisfied
I thought a par 3 course was made tempovary course. And making easy.
But made by Arnold Palmer. Each hole is nice layout. And green was not easy and fast.
Hard to find in resort
Course was great other than the resort did not have good signage on the roads and I had to stop at the 8 hole course to get directions.
Pleasant Course for Practice
Easy course for iron practice. Course condition was good. No pressure as there were few players. The only thing some golfers may not like about this course: it is surrounded by houses.
A nice course to play at night.
We're owners at Orange Lake. When the resort ran the course, you could play 5 different sets of tees for each hole. So it was like playing 5 different courses. Play from the front tees using wedges and the back tees using 2irons, hybrids etc... Now the course is run by a management company. There are 3 sets of tees. They're spaced close together, so there is not much difference in yardage. If staying at the resort, this is nice to play in the evening. Only the tees and greens are lit, so pay attention to your errant shots. Also kids run around on the course at times., so be aware. We stay in the North Village, so I go out and chip and putt for free. No one stops you.
Great value for quick outing and if you have young ones who like to play
I have played this course many times and have always had a pleasant experience. I have a young son who has been out with me and he also enjoys the course. Depending on the time of year when we play, it can be tough being out in the hot sun without a driving cart, but several of the holes have shady spots to relax for a few minutes before resuming. The course itself is not super exciting or extremely challenging, e.g., there are no water hazards, but for a fun family outing for non-super serious golfers this is a great course and is always well maintained. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. I also forgot to mention that kids play for free, so for those of us on a budget and have kids who aren’t at the age or skill level to take on a full length 18 hole course, this is a perfect option. I will definitely play it again.
A Nice 9-Hole course for the price.
The course and greens were not in the best shape. The greens were being treated so it made it hard to put BUT we only paid $8 per person on GolfNow. So we got what we paid for.
