Great 9-hole course
Great place to get in iron work. I have played here before and the course is better maintained than before.
Boring
I thought this was going to be a full size course. My mistake. There were a few elderly people playing behind me. No one in front, so play was real fast.
I found the course to be totally boring.
The course was also a long drive through a rental resort which made it a bit confusing to find.
Can't remember the exact day I played, but it was in February.
Legends Walk
as always ok--too many sand traps. this course has slow play occassionaly--should take out the sand bunkers to speed play
Good to walk
Nice to find a course to walk.
Booked through GolfNow and got a good price, would be expensive if paying full price.
Tees and greens in good condition.
Tee to green required for most holes (bunkers) at close to two hundred yards some can be difficult.
A Par 3 favorite for me. Wonderful little course
The design and layout is wonderful because you get to use many of your clubs. Some holes need a 3 or 5 wood going to a tight green over a bunker. You can get a low price to play using the internet. One of my favorite courses and the condition is usually very good.
Boring
Hardly anyone else playing, so it was a fast rate of play, but boring. Took about one hour from the blue tee's.
The only way I'd play this course again is if it were free or in my back yard. Too small. I don't understand how this course got 4.5 out of 5
better than most
For a par 3 this is in good condition and challenging. My wife enjoys it as a beginner, and it is far from boring for a low handicapper.
Fun course
Course was in good shape. Challenging short course, great for first of the season golfers to get in practice for their short game. Lots of sand...and I think I played them all! Greens in good shape
Very expensive ($35) for such a short walking course if bought from Orange Lake itself.
Keep ur eyes focused
Played the 9 hole course at night with the light, had a great time.
The greens seems to be farther than what the yardage marks say, its cool to see ur ball disappear in the night, then reappear in the light near or around the green. The greens where in good shape, rolled true however some of them were kinda beat up in certain spots from alot of play but that's to be expected at a resort course. All in all had a great time, will return in the near future.
Great value
Overall this course was great for the money. At night you can see the fireworks from disney in the background on the 2ns hole if you tee off at the right time. I would play it again on my next trip down to Orlando.
So much fun
It took a few holes to adjust to hitting golf balls in the dark, but I found the secret was to back off a couple of clubs and use a partial swing. We seemed to be the only people on the course so it went fast. We decided to go around again, and didn't have to pay anything. The greens were very slow and soft, but they were in good shape otherwise. Golfing at night is a challenging experience and if you don't get lost, it's a lot of fun.
No Hole in One this Time
The last time I played here I got a hole-in-one on the 7th hole. Unfortunately, no aces this time around.
We played this course at night which adds an interesting twist to the game. It adds a new meaning to not being able to find your ball if you're not on the fairway (or green).
Tee blocks and greens were in very good condition. The greens were running a bit slow but that was likely because they were a bit damp from the dew.
Each hole has a variety of bunkers to make things interesting.
Any golfer would enjoy the experience of playing under the lights.
Challenging course
This was a good course for a par 3 challenge.
Lots of sand required accuracy.
Excellent facilities, extra-friendly staff.
Course in great condition
Very good course, but too many challenging bunkers. Great course to practise your tee shot placement. Only gripe was that there were too many inexperienced (0parents with their kids) in fours and fives that hold you up, and do not invite you to play through. However, will play the course again until I have mastered it !
Quality Par Three
Very well maintained par three. Greens are mostly good size, firm, quick, and in great condition. Tee boxes raised and flat with three tees per hole to provide challenge for players at a variety of levels. Holes are reasonable length at around 150 yds - some longer, some shorter. Some walks between holes are long for a par 3 and signage needs improvement.
Fun
First time I've ever played at night. Awesome experience with a tight semi challenging layout. Definitely have to play from the back or you'll hit wedge to putter every hole it seems. Will play again next visit along with all the others at orange lake!
A great place for kids to learn to play
I took my 10 year old grandson to play this golf course with me. Kids under 12 are free. It was a lot of fun. The course was not crowded and my grandson and I were able to walk and play without the pressure from groups behind us. This is the type of course that I first learned to play golf on and is a great place to take young players to learn how to play. They are the future of golf after us baby boomers hang up our clubs someday.
Hidden Gem
This is the model to grow the game and have fun. Seems fairly unknown as play is always light, but makes for a quick pace 9.
Hackers and family delight
Go with kids (they are free with Adult) and enjoy working on your short game, while they tune their skills. Plenty of bunkers to avoid and shorter length allows kids to complete without getting over tired.
