Narrow hole that you can't even tell is a golf course if it wasn't for the tee boxes. Photo submitted by Sean8819622 on 07/24/2016

I guess the hole design was bad enough that you can't use clubs you have. So bad. Photo submitted by Sean8819622 on 07/24/2016

approach on back 9 par 5 (forgot which hole, sorry) Photo submitted by Nathan6632171 on 07/13/2014
Good course to play, is in a nice environment.
There are narrow fairways and some hidden green with short distant holes. It is good to practice with great value for the green fee.
Love Cross Creek !
This is a very challenging course. My best score this year is a 78. But there is a (par 4) hole on the back 9 that is converted into a par 3 for over a year now.
Challenging design, terrible staff
I'll keep this brief. The course has a great layout in my opinion but needs a lot of work, however, for $20 hot deal I can't complain about the condition.
What was unaccetable was the staff. My tee time was around 1:30. When I got to the starter he shoved three 4 man groups out to the 1st tee with in 5 minutes. That was after he was completely unprofessional in his attitude to me. My group had to wait 20 minutes to tee off.
The marshal never came out to check pace of play. It took 2 hours and 35 minutes to play the front 9 holes.
At 5:45pm the marshall came out and told us they wanted all the carts in by 6:00 pm and to make the next hole our last still had 3 holes left and plenty of light to finish.
The course needs to advertise that they close at
Not worth playing until #14 opens
I've played Cross Creek quite a bit, and I keep getting excuses about why the 14th hole is no closer to being opened. I know it's not the management's fault because of issues with the ICC, but they need to be more decisive about what they're going to do. The rest of the holes are OK, but the course is nothing to write home about, so the loss of one hole is a big deal. I do enjoy the last couple holes of the front 9.
This course needs some work
The course is in very poor shape. The fairways and tee boxes were bad. The only positive side is I only paid $35 to play on a Saturday morning. Until they improve the conditions stay away.
even discounted - course in poor condition - save your money
Tee boxes without grass; greens with piles of sand - not rolled. Played in the AM - leaves had not been blown off greens. Sand traps poorly maintained. #14 par 4 cut down to par 3. No yardage markers on sprinklers, only posts by cart path. This course has a ways to go. Fairways in OK condition except for several holes with standing water here and there.
better than expected
because of recent reviews I have seen, I was expecting a poor
course. Instead we had a pleasant experience. Some bare
spots on green, but overall and considering lack of rain, greens were not bad. slick but rolled true. Fairways were ok,
again considering lack of rain. Biggest problem with course is
the lack of consideration from players-divots not replaced, ball
marks not repaired. #14 still closed, thought it should be open
Might as well not putt
Putting greens are terrible! No grass/bald spots on a lot of the landing areas of fairways.. Course needs serious attention, a lot of potential here!
What happened?
I played Cross Creek in May and it was in great shape. What happened over the summer?
The tee boxes are shaggy; the fairways and greens are beat up.
I can't see coming back if the course is on the decline, which is a shame, because it's fairly challenging.
great price but course conditions are NOT good
I like this course playing it a few times per year. This is the worst course conditions I have seen. It needs major reseeding.
Terrible condition
This course is in terrible conditions. On fairway was so hard you hit off a matt in half way down the fairway.
Course needs some TLC
While it is a nice shorter layout, placing a premium on accurate ball striking, the course needs help in growing grass. While we have had a moderate summer, many of the greens are burnt out.
The course conditions are horrible. 18 greens, 17 holes
Horrible. Cross Creek should be ashamed of themselves. Course use to be one of the best in area. ICC and poor upkeep will keep people away. They should shutdown for rest of year and repair this once nice, fun course.
The couse is toast
Totally burned out, greens barley hanging on. It's a shame because the tight layout could be fun. Wait til next year to try it.
Course is in very bad shape!!!
Course is in horrible shape, not sure what management is doing. This use to be a course that was well maintained no matter what time of the year. I was very disappointed and advise all to stay away and don't waste your money on this course no matter what type of good deal is out there.
Interesting Layout
This course has a very unique layout and style. I really enjoyed the course design and felt that the course provided an adequate challenge. Despite the short length on the scorecard, there were plenty of opportunities to hit driver, but many fairways were tight and unforgiving.
The complaint with this course was the conditions. From tee to green, you often found yourself looking for a clump of grass to hit from. The whole course played very firm, and the many hard bounces made it almost feel like links golf. Sadly, the one hole on the back nine that looked like it would be the most interesting (#14, a mid length par four paralleling the ICC) had been shortened to a makeshift par 3 where you hit from a driving range mat from the middle of what used to be the fairway.
If this course was cleaned up and taken care of, it could be a great little course. I would probably play again for the challenge and because it was a great deal.
great potential, but needs a lot of work.
I read several reviews of this course before I played it. I got the impression that some of the holes were tight and others were more wide open. Well, I never found the holes that were wide open. On several holes, you have to thread the needle between trees and tall grass to make it to the fairway. I lost more balls on this course than any other that I have ever played. Fortunately, I also found may balls in the woods while looking for mine.
Also, the course is in fairly rough shape. This didn't bother me too much because I had been able to play so cheaply. However, it is a shame that it cannot be kept up better.
Where's the Grass!!!
One of the worst conditioned courses I have ever played. More bare spots on the greens than grass. Putting over gravel would have provided a smother putting surface. If the conditions were not appalling enough, they removed a hole...yes an entire hole is no longer there. So you have 17 hole course. But worse yet was that the hole they removed was by far the best hole on the course. One of the most challenging par fours in the area. DO NOT PLAY HERE!!!! If they offer you a free round of golf with lunch and beer included, it is over priced
Challenging layout but requires some attention.
When I played at Cross Creek in June, it was in nice shape. Apparently the summer has been hard on it, as the greens and tee-boxes are nearly lost. The greens are bumpy and bare. The tee-boxes are clumpy and bare. I heard they have recently hired a new greens keeper; I hope this is the canvas he is starting with and not the result of his handiwork, because I really like this course.
