Fall rate brought us to Emerald Greens and we had a great round Course was in great shape.

What a great course and in perfect condition. Played silver and u have great advantages if u know the course layout. Thank u.

For the time of year it was cold and wet. Had lots of rain the last few weeks, area's of the course were very wet and soft. Most of the green were punched with large plugs, not very good to putt on. Would of thought the greens would of been done earlier. Don't like playing a course with plugged greens..

Emerald Greens Golf Course comprises two 18-hole tracks named Silver and Gold. This review covers only the Silver course, which is a bit of a par 73 beast at 7,163 yards from the back tees and a 74.2 rating. Three other sets of tees are at 6,792, 5,953 and 5,184 yards. Like its companion course, the Gold, this track is partly set on boring flat terrain with half-grown trees lining the fairways and partly on more rolling and visually appealing ground. The rough is relatively short, making it unlikely that you’ll lose any balls that stray from the fairway. There are some “natural grassy areas,” but these are set quite a bit off the fairways, so they shouldn’t be a problem. The greens are really smooth and in great condition, rolling moderately fast and true. The first four holes of the front nine are set on the more rolling part of the course. The dogleg left 347 yard (from the middle tees) par 4 2nd requires a long drive from an elevated tee box. Interestingly, the course discourages trying to cut too much off the corner by placing OB stakes between this hole and the adjacent hole. There are also some fairway bunkers along the inside corner. A good drive in the fairway should leave a short iron to an elevated green protected by a large bunker on the right and a grassy slope on the left. Holes 5 through 12 are flat, mostly straight and boring, except for the par 3 6th with its island green surrounded by water. The last four holes are what really makes this course a treat to play. The par 3 15th requires a shot from an elevated tee between (or over) trees set like goal posts protecting a wide but not very deep green. This is followed by a 632 yard (from the back tees, but only 576 from the middle tees!) par 5 that curls around to the right almost like a large capital C. Again, OB stakes prevent long hitters from playing into the adjacent fairway. Making the hole play even longer is the fact that the second and third shots are uphill. Par is a really good score on this hole. The 17th is a 503 yard (from the middle tees) par 5 that doglegs uphill to the left. The fairway is the fun here, as it undulates like a mini roller coaster. You’re almost guaranteed to have either an uphill or downhill lie on your second and third shots. The finishing hole is a 404 yard par 4 with a fairway that splits at about 180 yards from the tee into a high side on the left and a low side on the right. The hole has a slight curve to the right, but there is water on the right which makes taking the low road a bit risky. There is also a water hazard about 40 yards in front of the green, so if your lie won’t let the approach shot carry this hazard a layup is the wise choice. Par is a good score on your last hole of this round. Emerald Greens is about a half hour drive from the Twin Cities, but the Silver course is well worth the drive.

I like playing this course in the fall because there aren't as many leaves to deal with. The course was in amazing shape for late October. Greens were in great shape. Unfortunately some golfers must not feel the need to repair ball marks this time of year.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this course was. Always thought it was the golf course in the cornfield. Wrong! I will definitely play it again.

36 hole golf course located about 20 minutes south of downtown St. Paul. Easy access. Clubhouse facilities include an extremely small pro shop/check in area. Full service bar with grill food available. Course was in good shape. Greens had been punched recently (as to be expected here in Minnesota in September) and were very uneven . At the mercy of the "bumps" all day long. Rough was a bit wiry and challenging. Fairways, for the most part, were in decent shape.

Flew in from Texas for a break from the heat and played this course with a buddy. It is a links style course but has some trees. Had a ton of fun but the best part was definitely putting on those greens! Such a true roll I started believing I could make any length putt there. I will be back.

Waited over 10 minutes to check in while staff sold drinks. This made me late to tee. Had to start on 2 and play first tee last. I like the course but staff needs much work.

After having lost about 18 balls on another course to woods and water, this is a refreshing course. Played with the same ball the entire round. As a woman golfer, I got a lot of yardage breaks on nearly all holes. I think it would be challenging for white T golfers because I generally got at least 100 yards on each hole. It's beautiful scenery, open play and most holes are pretty straightforward. It's a nice course that we finished in under 4 hours, only had to wait on last two holes. Definitely would go back.

Not the toughest course but an excellent course. I will definitely plat here again. Well kept and fun.

Somewhat open course with challenges including a few blind shots and quite a few bunkers. GPS on the cart would have been nice.

My wife and I were looking for a place to play a quick round of golf. We found a great deal on Golf Now and we were off to Emerald Greens in Hastings. The course was in good shape and we hit the links right away, just the two of us. The weather was great, the staff was very courteous and we had fun in just a little over three hours and 15 minutes. Any time you play Emerald Greens, it's always a good time.
