Same slow pace of play
Played 4/16/23 on a voucher I had from months ago. Guess what the voucher was for - a 5 hour round middle of the day on a Thursday. Pace of play was slow again, another 5 hour round, waiting on every tee box. Starter had the audacity to say that there was a 15 minute pace of play per hole when asking if a certain set of tees could be played. Never saw a ranger out on the course despite people in front of and behind us complaining about pace. Not worth the money imo.
Great course
My only complaint (I hate using that word) is that the holes and greens were a tad unfair. Green speeds seemed wildly different from hole to hole and pin placement was made by someone who definitely hated most golfers 🤣
Another Early Round at The Clay
I love to get the early round in at The Clay. Layout is great and challenging. Play it from the back to get the most enjoyment.
The cut some trees down to help out some of the sight lines on the course. Especially on 18. All good improvements..
Typical mediocre condition ok pace, they do pretty good job
Here. Muni course. Good sand traps
Great track,
You need every club in your bag, can’t muscle this course, very challenging
Great time!
Got a hot deal and took advantage of it, glad I did! This place is a treat to play, especially with the included practice facility. Pace of play was terrible, clocked in at 3 hours on hole 10. Gave up early and left after 13. Other than that, had a great time. I’ll be back.
Great course even with cart path only restriction
Though the course was pretty wet from the heavy rain through the weekend, it was still a enjoyable course to play, I got in a lot of extra steps with the cart path only restriction and lost a couple of balls due to plugging in the fairway (you're welcome to who finds the Vice golf balls). Some of the course challenges were taken away with some of the white tee boxes being moved up (but that is what you should expect with winter golf). A lot of water on the course and hazard areas to test your ability to play the right shot with the right club. I will definitely be coming back during the spring/summer season because the course is that good. I do recommend anyone in the Philadelphia area to try this course if you already haven't. I guarantee it is worth the drive. And of course who doesn't love complimentary good quality range balls.
tough but beautiful
White Clay Creek is a tough course. It is also a good looking course. If you play on a cart path only day prepare yourself for alot of walking. some of the normal white tee boxes were closed for the winter so you had to move up to the green ones. Green were in excellent shape. Because of rain the day before balls would plug into the fairway and couldn't be found.
Great experience
Course was in great shape. Challenging but enjoyable. Lots of water. Staff was very friendly. They didn’t really regulate start times so we were backed up most of the day.
Wind and winter conditions
First time playing this course. My lack of length coupled with winter’s ball flight, windy conditions and fast greens all screamed move up a tee box!
