great course
great weather, course in excellent condition. the pro shop was just that - very professional as always.
Great course, however, when you're off the fareways, You are in extreme rough.
Picturesque Golfer's Dream Course
This is my favourite course on the island. You feel like every hole is a walk through nature, you seldom see other golfers on other holes since there is ample forest separating one fairway from the next. There were deer with fawns, so beautiful and peaceful you don't feel like wanting to leave. The pro shop staff were kind enough to let my elderly father and my friend's wife ride around in a cart with us and they thoroughly enjoyed their time too.
The greens were excellent and fairways and bunkers well maintained. Everyone we spoke with was friendly and welcoming.
Gem
I played the 1st 9 with a member plus 2others which was very pleasant the course is a Gem tree lined fairways and you don't see another golfer lots of wild life (deer and there fawns this time of year, eagles )

Unfortunately we had a tournament of amatures out in front of us some playing as a SIX-SOME !!
Almost 5 hours to finish
Otherwise still one of the best courses in BC to play.
Extremely slow
It was a Saturday, but really, it took 2 hrs and 40 minutes to complete 9 holes. Wait, wait, wait. Quit after 9 holes and was given a rain cheque. Would rather have played it out, but with the prospects of a 5 1/2 to 6 hr. round just wasn't worth the frustration. What is this club doing about slow pace of play? Saw one course marshal who didn't seem to move people along. Felt like they were just jamming in tee times to make more money. Don't play on a Saturday if you can help it.

Course is in great condition, pace was real good! Interesting and challenging holes. Lots of deer around. Really friendly staff. All in all, a great experience!
West coast beauty!
Always a favourite, a must play on Vancouver Island. Storey is in great condition right now, we will get back to play again soon.
Perfect consistantt greens.
The speed of each green was the same. I played poorly but that had nothing to do with the course.
It was still a wonderful time.
Next time I will remeber the water hazards and adjust my play. The course is challenging enough without being frustrating.
Most fairways allow for mt "power fade"(slice) and distances are such that one can be vlise to reachING the greens in regulation even if your drives are not oust and ingredients. I'm usually in the 175 to 225 yard range.
The course is visually appealing with some wildlife (deer, squirrels, etc around)
Go play ,you'll be happy you did.
great course
this course offers a very good challenge, is in very good shape. weather was superb and the pace of play was better than normal for a course of this quality. pro shop staff excellent.
Island Gem
Such a beautiful layout with great early season conditions.Super friendly staff (Adam .Sean).Played poorly myself but still enjoyed every moment!
Early spring conditions
Pretty well drained, greens good for this time of year, all tee boxes back to grass and all fairways open fully
