Good test of your game
One of my favourite golf course on Vancouver Island, easy walk in nature.
Storey Creek
Played Storey Creek on the 15th of July Course in great shape Still one of the best on Vancouver Island
Storey Creek Golf
Amazing golf course in amongst wildlife and large fir trees. Great staff and challenging course.
Storey Creek
Great layout --- brutal rough
Not bad considering
The #1 was shortened to 117 due to repairs to the tee and fairway, as well as, the greens had recently been punched, but weren't too bad.
Great place to spend 4 hours
Course was in good shape for this early in the year and the greens are challenging.
Always fun and a fair test of your game playing here
One of the best courses in BC
one of my favorite courses.
Storey creek
Course is in good condition for this time of year. Always great to play here. Love it.
Lovely Fall Afternoon
Three of us played Storey Creek on an overcast, but lovely, gall afternoon. We arrived early for our 1230 hrs tee time and, because there were no groups in front of us, the starter put us out early. Other than the first fairway, which the starter briefed us was under repair, the course was in excellent fall condition. Even with the significant rain in the area, the fairways were not mushy, and the greens rolled very nicely. The silence of playing in your own fairway surrounded by stately Douglas Firs was amazing. Highly recommended.
The Island's Hidden Gem
Storey Creek is a fantastic golf course tucked away on the northern part of the island. It is worth making the trek up, as the course provides excellent value, and some of the best fish tacos around.
Each hole is individual, and you rarely will see other golfers through the thick trees. You truly feel like you have the course to yourself.
Speaking of the trees, don't miss the fairways. If you hit it right or left, you will be re-teeing 90% of the time. It really adds to the challenge and forces you to focus on every shot. The course itself is well designed and encourages risk-taking. But be sure you know where the best place to miss it is.
Playing in summer will ensure the greens are pristine, and they roll well, though not lightning fast on the stimp.
I would play this course again and again, especially at the prices offered! It really feels like a getaway course, but it's not far up the Island!
One of the best courses around
I play here half a dozen times a year and it is always in extraordinary shape and is a great challenge for a lower handicap.
My favorite course on Vancouver Island
Course was in great condition considering the dry summer. Played early morning and had a slow group in front of us but they let us go after 3 holes. Finished play in 3 hours. Unfortunately it was raining but we were in a cart so it wasn't too bad. Great course would recommend to better golfers not for beginners. Had breakfast after play and food was good. All round a good day.
Beautiful course
A great course, tucked in amongst the trees. Each fairway is isolated from each other, you hardly see another golfer except on your hole. Deer everywhere! Play smart or bring lots of balls, there are more than a few hazards. Everyone should give this one a whirl, you will like it!
great golf course
I love Storey Creek!!! Winter, summer, spring or fall!!!Finally got over 17th hole and parred. Watch out for the ditch in front as tall grass and brush.as well concrete wall in front
storey creek golf
-excellent reception by pro shop. course in very good condition. tough but fair golf experience every time i have played here
Course is in excellent condition
This course was in excellent condition, we played 18 holes, challenging with several sand traps and enough water to loose the odd ball or two! Friendly staff, will definitely return.
The course was quite challenging
Course was in fair condition but considering the time of year it was ok. Will get back in summer to try again.
Better hit the ball straight or bring lots of balls
19th hole closes early. We finished 7:20 pm closed
A great day!
We had been wanting to get to this course since last year. So glad we made it! The weather was doubtful but so glad we went. We truely enjoyed our day. The course is so quiet and and beautiful. I love how each fairway is separate from the others and no homes to worry about.
Called ahead from the nineth tee to order lunch and it worked well.
Look forward to our next game there!
(Maybe we'll get to eat our cookies next time!)
great place wide, quite difficult.
Although wode and quite difficult our game was slow. bunched up. Front nine took 3 hours and 15 minutes. No Marshalls, quicker on back nine only 3 hours.
A beautiful setting. Paired wih a great couple who were members and most helpful.
Great Course
I have played this course a number of times over the past 15 years. It is a very good layout and the back nine in particular you need to hit where you should in order to score. The condition was good or excellent if you take into account the time of year. I enjoy playing here and will do it a few times this year as I usually do despite being a member at another course and living in another city.
