Course signage
Course has horrible signage for navigation. Unclear where to go on cart paths and it's very easy to get mixed up.
Simple signs to hole #1 on legends, clear signs to separate masters and legends starting hole, clear sign to get back to clubhouse from legends were all missing.
Great test of golf, fantastic food
You should try this course lots of fun fast greens. Best special burgers at Iggies too
Great First Experience
You could not have asked for a better day. It was my first time playing the legends course and I can tell you I was not disappointed. The conditions of the course were excellent and the weather as well. We were supposed to be paired up with another twosome but they were late so there was just two of us and we played the round in four hours. The greens are fast and true so if you hit the right line and speed the put was going to go in. The only complaint I had was there were no ball washers on the course. Then my playing partner showed me the ball washer on the golf cart! Overall it was a great day and I'm looking forward to going back and playing the course again. You will not be disappointed with the course, a must play!
great course
Good Challenge. Nice place to play. Greens are a bit inconsistent as mentioned in previous review but overall great conditions. Chexk.in was a bit slower as usual. Five people behind the counter no one waiting but had to wait 15 min to get one to look up our group so I could pay. Bar staff really friendly, had a sandwich here before the round, great food. Overall 5 stars.
Enjoyable Day
Legends is always fun to play. The last two outings i played from the blues and whites with a 7 shot differential. I am a 16 to 17 handicap. So pick your tees wisely. Course is in good condition although the greens were not as fast as they have been. Maybe because it was Sunday. Staff are friendly and helpful. 5 hour round due to some slow foursome in front of us.
great overall experience
Stands up to the hype. A favorite of many friends and I see why. Great layout, many different style holes and different difficulty level with well placed bunkers make it a challenge yet you enjoy the layout and overall beauty of course .
Legend of a Day
Arrived at the course as a single and was paired up with a two-some. I am a female and sometimes men don't take to kindly to lady golfers joining them - particularly at top notch courses like Lionhead Legends. My playing partners were really friendly and complimentary with my straight drives and birdie putts ;)
The course was in GREAT shape and the pace of play was really good. We never waited on any of the tees.
The back nine was definitely more challenging. We started on #10 so I was a bit concerned that the whole course was going to be full of hidden challenges!
Purchased my round through GolfNow so the price was good value for money.
Be prepared to maybe loose a few balls
Good time playing this track the condition of the course is very good
Fantastic
Great course, great food, great staff. The facilities are amazing, fast greens open fairways the golfing at Lionhead would be attractive to all levels. Legends proves to be challenging but forgiving. Masters....well that says it all. Novice golfers should bring lots of extra balls.
Lionhead has not changed...but I can't the same for the player..
Years ago I used to play a lot at Lionhead. Went there yesterday and everything was still good except the quality of the people who played there. It was a 5 hour 15 min round.
The group in front of us were total beginners, we waited for them at every holes. On one par-3 hole, we witnessed a player swung and missed the ball 3 times on the tee and the fourth one went to the wasteland in front of it. She continued on with the game from the other side and finished the hole possibly shot a 10. No marshal to speed up the pace of these people who probably should not have played the Legend.
On the 10th hole, a foursome suddenly appeared in front of us and said they went for a bite and now rejoining the game. Are you kidding me...? A already slow game now turned into a VERY slow game. We were surprised there was no marshal nor policy that govern this ?
Other minor nuisances include the beverage cart drove pass us while we were swinging. The twosome behind us joined us every hole by driving their cart to our tee boxes....
The quality of the players has diminished to that of a municipal course. Sad.
Other than that, the course was in good shape, the greens were fast enough but un-repaired divots were all over them. Again, it's the quality of the players. The rough were very playable, the sand however were hit & missed. Some of the traps were harden to a point that the wedges bounced off the sand. But overall it was still in a good shape. The club house is still beautiful and the service was prompt and efficient. Sad to see the courtesy pick up from the parking lot was missing. But for $80, I am not complaining. But the one thing I really wish was there should be marshals on course to keep the pace of the play in check.

Masters
Best condition I've played in this year.
And ever at this course. Probably played now for the 5th time over the last 10 years. A real treat!
Interesting and Challenging
We played the blue tee total around 6600 yards. The course is interesting and some holes are fully protected by sand bunkers near the green. Need to hit almost everything right to get a descent score.
Lionshead legends
U goofballs who think u have game probably should play from the whites which is 6200 yd or blue white combos pace of play is terrible in the evening because of this
tough
this course is very difficult, mainly, if you have never played it before. the greens are very fast and run true. the only green in bad condition is #15, balls marks are plenty and not repaired. overall, very happy with the course.
tricky
Nice course, good facilities and friendly staff. A very tuff track for average player. Masters better suited for the weekend player. Overall a very good course in good shape.......bring your A game if playing legends.
Legends
Course was in excellent condition and very enjoyable round of golf once again.
Tough But Fun
Practice your bunker work before taking on the Legends course. A tough course that rewards accuracy and penalizes any lapse in concentration.
Looking forward to taking the challenge again this season.
Nice course
First time on this course and it was very nice. I would definitely go again.
One of the top 5 courses in Ontario
Every golfer should play here at least once, but more the better.
