Way too slow for Sunday morning
It was one of the slowest round for Sunday morning I have ever played anywhere!
Our tee off time was 10:30am but we had to wait as the group in front was still teeing off when we arrived at the 1st tee.
Then it just got worse. Waited for every shot from that point on. By the time we finished, it took us over 5 hours!! For a supposedly top class golf course, that was ridiculously slow!!
If Angus is Cart Path Only - save your money & a 6hr round
The review is in the title. Very disappointed in angus today for how slow they allowed their course to get. Course was barely wet and they forced a CPO and it took 6hours to play. On top of CPO, slow 4somes, and no Marshall’s. Way too nice of a course and too expensive to allow this type of golf to happen.
Premium price for municipal course conditions
Angus Glen is simply not good value for money. We played the North Course, and found that the greens keeping was non-existent. Tee boxes, fairways, and especially the greens were in terrible conditions. There were pitch marks, and spike marks on every single green, and the grass on the green was long, negating the chance of having a true roll or line. For a Canadian Open venue and having played other venues such as Glen Abbey, Unfortunately, I would not recommend this course.
Not the experience I wanted
I played this course in July and loved it. Unfortunately we had a nasty storm overnight so when we went today the course was extremely soggy, pooling water, no roll. And cart path only, which meant for a lot of walking. I wish they had offered a discounted rate as it is a pricey course .
Covid non compliant - lousy staff attitude
Course is in rough shape, greens are pretty beaten up, I was repairing 5 or 6 divots per green.
Worst thing is the staff attitude, pretty entitled group, don’t really care about the customers who are clearly the cause of the “ problem”
A cart was included in my prepaid rate, I was tI would have to share with someone I didn’t know I asked if they had been vaccinated staff told me they didn’t know but I could ask.
I asked for my own cart, sorry not policy despite being a holiday weekend and the course not being busy, asked for a refund, not policy asked to talk to management - who told me same, no refund, no carts available despite being surrounded by empty carts - high price, bad greens and lousy attitude - don’t rush to play!,
Poor management behaviour
Nice course, poor staff attitude, shame really that management doesn’t care about the impression they make.
During COVID asked to share a cart with someone I didn’t know, I elected to walk and asked for the cart fee to be refunded - management policy is not to issue refund,. Then asked them to provide the cart I paid for management policy is not to provide an extra cart.
Poor management attitude, no refund not even an offer of a bucket of balls, a free water, an extra tee, nada, not their issue - my issue. Jeesh - no customer satisfaction going on at this establishment
Staff not very aware, management a complete disaster
The course was in good condition and well laid out, the day was present and playing on a Sun. On a long weekend - not busy at all!
What is extremely annoying is that I signed up as a single, they wanted to put me in a cart with another person I didn’t know and they couldn’t tell me if they were fully vaccinated. When I complained to management they suggested they could put up a partition - wholly unacceptable. My course fees included a cart they didn’t offer to refund the cost of a cart and refused to provide me with a separate cart despite a slow holiday Sunday, and several available carts. They tried to say they didn’t have enough carts. There were my my count 50 carts in the forecourt, and when I finished my round there were still 50 carts and the 2 starters were taking off in a cart to do a round since it was “so slow” which is what the course marshals then the person manning the drinks cart all said. If you make someone walk at least refund their cart costs!
The view, fairways, greens are all perfect!
This course is more expensive and it's worth every dollar.
Bad shape
Course was in rough shape. Greens were chewed up, and on a dry sunny day we were forced to play cart path only. The starter mentioned nothing about cart path only, so we found out the hard way with our carts dying in the fairway on the first hole. Way too expensive, overall disappointing.
