Bad shape
Course was in rough shape. Greens were chewed up, and on a dry sunny day we were forced to play cart path only. The starter mentioned nothing about cart path only, so we found out the hard way with our carts dying in the fairway on the first hole. Way too expensive, overall disappointing.
Great day
Beautiful course. Played the North. Shot my best round of the year. Can't wait to play again.
I’ve always liked Angus Glen courses, esp the North.
Greens were very poor ... yes, its a bit soft out but no effort made to repair ball marks (its annoying that golfers dont fix but Club should make some effort here).
Pace of play frustration was the cart paths only requirement despite many groups around us anle to drive in fairway (apparently “handicap” exemption but based on number of groups doing so, you guys are allowing this to be exploited). Also, tge “limiter” on the carts for when on or near fairway is excessive.
I’ll be back but expect better.
Angus Glen - North
The course was generally in great condition. Some of the greens had ball mark damage, many of which more than a day or two old.
Tee boxes and fairways were excellent.
Pace of play was brutally slow as there were no course marshalls to keep things moving along. The group in front was looking for balls for extended periods of time when it was completely unnecessary.
Great course with perfect weather, i would recommend playing this course.
Played the North Course. The back nine is much more challenging and scenic than the front.
Want my money back
Took us 4.5hrs to only play 12 holes. Had to leave before the end cause the pace of play was intolerable. No reason for it when they clearly have pace of play indicator on the gps golf carts. It's unfortunate cause the course is lovely aside from the mangled greens due to someone who was staging their metal cleats around the pin. Terrible experience.
