Cedar Crest Golf Club
About
Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro sprawls across rolling farmland accented with groves of mature trees. The fairways on the front nine are wide open but they become narrower and tree lined on the back nine. The greens play fast and true and they are also well conditioned. There are not many sand traps to contend with but a smattering of elevation changes throughout the golf course cause an occasional uneven lie. Seasoned golfers looking for a challenge won't find it here but what you will find is a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for a quick, casual round that is player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the course, Cedar Chest Golf Club offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range and a two-tiered practice green.

Cedar Crest Golf Course Review
I have played this course many times, and I enjoyed it!!
The greens were slow, but in great shape!
Fun Course
Fun course, nice condition, tight fairways at times but overall a good value I thought.
Thieves
THIEVES!!! This is a review of the staff that work here. I left my range finder by accident a month or so ago, which we have all been guilty of at some point. I called the clubhouse to see if it was left there and they did confirm that they had my rangefinder. I was unable to make it out there for a few weeks so I would call once a week to make sure it was still there. They continued to tell me that it was but an employee was using from time to time. No biggie. The more I called the more I began to get the runaround. I ended up booking a round there on a Sunday and was ready to reclaim my property. I get there and the gentleman at the desk, who's name was Berry, informed me that the worker who uses my rangefinder from time to time accidentally took it home and "is on his way in". Berry asked if I could get it on the turn. So I make the turn... no rangefinder. "He's running really late" Berry told me. I then end my round and still. I rangefinder. Berry comes up and says "the gentleman who has your rangefinder has been fired for stealing and unfortunately your range finder was one of those items". Berry then told me that he would send me a new rangefinder in the mail for the trouble. It's been 2 weeks and no rangefinder. I call the clubhouse and speak with Berry who continues to tell me it's in the mail. I would expect more from a business! What a shame!
Slownplau
Group of 30 playing slow and backed up whole course. No ranger to ask them to pick up pace. No reason for that when I'm paying $60 and they don't manage course.
April round.
Course other than greens was in rough shape. To be expected this time of year. Greens fees should have matched course condition and the of year. I also used a golf now. Little pricey for time of year and conditions.
Staff was great. Would like to try again after conditions improve.
Average Public Course
Overall, the course is fairly average. It’s well kept and has a decent amenities. The fairways and greens are fine. Some strange hole placements that increased the difficulty of the course, but overall not difficult. Pace of play was extremely slow. We had an early tee time, but it took us an hour past our tee time just to tee off, due to a frost delay. The front nine wasn’t terribly slow, but the back nine’s layout caused long delays.
