The course has been around for a long time.
The course has been around for a long time. It is in need of maintenance and repair which has been sorely neglected.
Save your $$
They are closing in August though it looks like they stopped working and keeping up with it in March. Such a shame.
Needs some TLC but worth the money
Title says it al, could use some TLC, but for the price it was still a good course.
Don’t believe the reviews that they don’t cut the grass. They do, no problems there. Greens were rather excellent. Just the course needs some water. There is also no rakes for the sand traps so you got a lot of feet tracks in it.
3.5/5
Course is tough, just keep ball in play
Course has come a long way from past year. Enjoyed my round. I will be back
Terrible Greens
The course doesn’t drain very well. The greens were terrible - seems no improvement in over 8 months. Greens have patches of thick growth and dirt on almost every green.
Hoped the conditions had improved but obviously haven’t. Will not come back
Not a $35 course
Have been playing Eastwood for many years and it still is a work in progress.
Any eastside golfer that has played this course knows that it doesn't drain well.
The money for new greens that ownership invested in have been wasted due to poor maintenance.
The tee boxes are 70/30% in bad shape. 100% of bunkers are in bad shape. Fairways are 60/40% playable. There is no kitchen/ 19th hole. This course is decent at $20 or below if you get a HotDeal anything in the $30's is a one and done with golfers probably writing how they should have played a course that was worth the time and money
course ok...greens not so much
I don't see how they have partially lost some of the greens! They spent over a year putting in new greens. As a side note to this review. I need to bring to the attention of anyone looking to join GOLFNOW. I have been a member for 20 years, in the last couple years GOLFNOW has developed a VERY dishonest approach to their membership. I believe my email is listed some where here so, if anyone has questions please contact me and I will be happy to go into details!
have seen it in better shape
This course was better a few months back....now the greens have some bad spots and weeds, rough was a little deep...hard to find and hit balls out of it....the lay out is good with lots of dog legs...mostly lefts it seems to me...have to hit over water a few times but not great distances....If you can book it for around $20 it is a good value...wouldn't pay much more than that. If you have never played it and live relatively near by it is worth checking out.
Wow
Disappointing conditions on the course, need to mow the grass lost too many balls that were in Fairplay due to high grass. Also piles of sand should not be on the putting green. The only upside was that it was a ghost town so we felt no pressure or were rushed.
Clubhouse Grill had only three beers to select from and five dollar hotdogs are excessive.
No restrooms on the course, very little places to wash balls.
Will be back.
The course is improving every week and it is in fair+ conditions. Pace of play was very good.
13 bucks to ride 18 holes on a sunday
You get what you pay for. Keep it in the fairway or you will lose golf balls. Bunkers are rock pits
13 bucks to ride 18 holes on a Sunday
On this day, played around noon. No one in front, no one behind. No pressure to rush. Good day to learn and relax.
Tee boxes are short mown weeds. Most are not marked for yardage.
Fairways were the best thing going for the course, but US Open rough will kill high handicappers (like me). Expect to lose golf balls if you are not keeping it in the fairway. Metal yardage plaques are consistantly placed and accurate (as far as I can tell). Doglegs are at radical right angles and do NOT match the score card or the tee box pillar diagrams. So beware.
Bunkers are rock infested and need refilling with sand.
Greens would be interesting if kept up, but they are mostly brown and need to be overseeded. Pin flags were color coded and accurate which helped.
Driving Range and practice green are forgettable.
Staff was friendly so no complaints there.
This is a budget course and will challenge you to play fairways and greens in regulation. Woe unto you inaccurate golfers. Eastwood will eat you for lunch.
A rare bargain in this town, but you get what you pay for...
I've played worse courses and spent more to play them. I'll play here again.
