Views make up for average course.
Enjoyed playing in cooler weather and taking in the beautiful scenery. Course is a par 69 and is fairly short. Firm greens with good speed made up for shorter course. No driving range, only nets to hit into.
Fun couples course
Fun layout for couples golf. Wife enjoyed the track although a bit short for me (4.1 index) from blue tees . Greens were decent for Mnt course and layout required accuracy and positioning to be able to score. Pace of play was 2 hours for first nine on a holiday Friday afternoon. We got in 16 holes with a 3:50 tee time which was more than we expected ( temps dropped and there was a backup on last 2 holes). We will play it again and I’ll play tips. Good value for twilight rate.
Bad shape
Some greens almost unplayable because of so many unrepaired ball marks.
Copper Creek - Good Value Course in Summit County
Have played Copper many times in the past but this was the first time this year. Safe distancing and mask policies were in force (although our group removed their masks while on the course). In the pro shop, there was good signage for protecting everyone.
The course was in fairly decent shape (although some of the greens were fairly bumpy probably following the past winter snow). Pace of play bogged down on the back 9 primarily due to a "bachelor party" group a few places in front of us. However, due to the perfect weather we didn't mind. The course is very short; however, that's deceiving due to some of the hole layouts and approach shots. A good course for almost any level.
Mountain Course
My first mountain course built around ski slopes. Playing from the back tees challenges your accuracy on many holes as there is minimal landing area. Unfortunately many of the greens still had ice damage making putting very difficult. The greens did not break like greens do in Indiana. Took getting use to this. Fairways were in great condition.
ATL Golf Czar
This course is shoehorned into a tight space and therefore has some very odd holes. But that is ok. Unfortunately, the greens are an embarrassment, in my opinion.
Never again
Want you to credit me the money back on my American Express credit card ending in 6007. Course has an ok layout but the greens are absolutely in horrible shape... I played 2 1/2 holes and left because the people in front had 4 golf carts with 7 individuals and 4 players and the group I was supposed to play with didn’t want to interrupt the husband and wife combo so they asked me to play in front which I was waiting at least 10.12 minutes on each shot and didn’t want to play alone as a single..no Marshall or starter but a Marshall finally asked why I was playing alone and causing a big backup. I told him the group I was supposed to play with didn’t want a fifth wheel even though they had 3 golfers...
Odd
It's hard to fit an 18-hole course into limited space at the bottom of a ski mountain. I get it. But... too many blind shots. Why not at least put some directional markings? Should be easy.
Play was tediously slow, think it would go faster if there were directional markings.
Nice Course Views
The front nine was so so, but the back nine has some great views. The course plays more difficult than the slope ratings in my opinion. Decent layout, but greens were fair to poor.
No driving range, but they did have nets to hit into.
Dissatisfied
Course needs a Marshall. Play was too slow, because of intoxicated golfers in front of me. Did not have a layout Map of the course, with restroom locations. No bottled water on the course, due to the Pandemic. Could not drop off clubs at a bag drop. A very long walk, with clubs, from the parking lot. Cost of the round of golf was too expensive, and not enjoyable, due to the reasons listed above.
Mountain Golf - at it's best and worst
The course was worth the $60 that I paid for the Hot Deal. It isn't worth much more than that though. It was nice for mountain golf, the scenic views are incredible. The unfortunate part is that the greens and some of the fairways are still very damaged from the winter and provide some additional challenge to score. All in all, perfect weather, beautiful scenery, a good day!
Beautiful course
Great course surrounded by mountains with beautiful views.
