Well worth the visit
Played this course over twenty years ago, and revisited it to find that it's as good as I had remembered it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, would recommend this course for all abilities, tough but fair.
Fantastic course
Tee boxes perfect as are the fairways. Some lovely holes from elevated tee boxes. Especially the 18th which is from a tee box up in the sky down to a green in front of the club house. A real fun golf course. Only slight issue was the sand on the greens as they were trying to improve them so cant really complain about them wanting to make them better. They still ran true and were flat. Was very impressed and will play it again in the future 100%
Burnley golf course
Nice course good challenge for anyone makes you think about were to aim with it been on hills some nice layouts on the green .Bit wet first thing in the morning didn't help with sand on them as they had spiked the greens and sanded them dont let that put you off as work needs to be done to keep them in good condition. As the morning went on it dried out the greens got a bit faster and you had to judge your putts again .overall very good course and staff very friendly I would recommend it to anyone .I would say if you don't like walking up and down hills hire a buggie very good views as well
Stunning views and a good quality course
I really enjoyed this course despite the greens being dressed. The views are stunning overlooking the town and surrounding hills. Good quality fairways and greens. Some very interesting holes. A few blind holes but really friendly members who were keen to offer visitors advice on where to aim. Shop/Club facilities are excellent. The wind played its part in our round. The course is high up and quite exposed. It was challenging but still really playable and reasonable to score on. We will go back over Autumn / Winter months as feel this will drain and play extremely well in comparison to some of the lower level parkland courses in the area.
Friendly club
Excellent service in pro shop. Great views and well designed course with some challenging holes. Unfortunately the greens had been hollow tined and heavily sanded, which made putting impossible.
Worth a visit if the weather if fine.
Burnley Golf Club
The round was initially booked for 27/07/20, however due to the horrendous weather conditions I phoned the professional and asked if the round could be moved to the 30/07/20. This was done without any problems and was much appreciated by myself and playing partners.
The course was in excellent condition and the greens were fast and true, the grounds staff and green keepers should be complimented on this.
Anybody that has not played the course should do so as the views of Pendle hill and surrounding countryside are worth the visit in itself, however you should also be aware that if you visit on windy day it can be a very challenging course to play as it is high on the hills above Burnley.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Burnley Golf Club.
Excellent Course
This is a little gem with superb quick greens and nice layout. It played tough with the wind and odd showers but thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth more visits
Tough test but worth it for the views
Nice course, well maintained and interesting architecture/layout. Some dramatic longer second shots and par 3s which make for a tough test. Every hole seems to up hill so prepare for your legs to burn. Views over East Lancs are great.
Bargain
The service from start to finish and on the course by members was exemplary. I would highly recommend people play this course with superb greens and stunning views from the tops as well. We will be returning soon hopefully take a bow Burnley a lot of other so called better clubs can take heed how you treat visitors.
Hidden Gem
We recently played Burnley Golf Club and can only say positive things about this place! We were greeted by a helpful member of staff in the pro shop before teeing off on their brilliant course!
Considering the volume of rain we have had recently the course held up unbelievably, the greens were in pristine condition which helped our game too. There’s some amazing views and great holes that you have to pitch your way around carefully.
Would highly recommend and looking forward to Going back again!
FIVE STAR
Windy when no wind
Played here today as part of a “ hot deal” and to be honest at £18 very good value but normally it is a lot more expensive. Membership is pricey.
Course is presented to a pretty good standard, the greens are excellent. Great views overlooking Burnley. It’s windy on this course due to elevated position, even when there’s no wind. Decent course
Great course
Another round of golf around here. Last played it 2 weeks ago when work was getting done on the greens. Greens spot on today as were the fairways and tee boxes. Lovely course so many amazing holes. Will be back next spring!
Nice Course
Made welcome by the gentleman in the pro shop who advised us of all the club information. Course in very good condition despite all the recent rain. Greens very good. Lovely par 3s, course quite testing in parts some parts a bit hilly but overall would play again. Had a drink in clubhouse after the round and again made very welcome again.
Great Glen View
Challenging course in fine condition and amazing views to go with it. Proper golf and Glen View great again.. ..
We’ll be back.
Great course. Some blind shots but if you look carefully on the maps that they provide at the start of each hole, you should be alright.
Got a hot deal for £15 / Best £15 I’ve spent this year.
Not for the faint hearted
If you like a challenge then this is the course for you! Well maintained and friendly staff. Some difficult holes. Played with somebody else who had booked through the golf now app that knew the course...where knowledge comes in handy! Good day. Would recommend.
Great course, friendly members and pro
We booked a 4 ball on the hot deals, so obviously was a bargain price for this course, I really cannot fault anything about our visit.
The pro was very welcoming and a few of the members asked us where we normally played etc, and it all added to a very enjoyable day, the sun was shining, the course was playing pretty fast.
Obviously the bar etc was closed due to covid which is why I could not give a rating for off course amenities, but we have played before in a open competition and we had the full English breakfast that day, and woukd have had it again had it been avaliable.
We hope to return And obviously recommend it
