Great greens
Played it early so got a great price of £12.50.
Lots of blind shots, 13 according to a member. It was my first time so didn’t really know where to aim of tee on some holes. There are markers to aim for but you still don’t know if you’ve hit a good shot.
If you don’t want a workout get a buggy. It’s up and down a lot hence the blind shots. Lots of different holes to make you think.
I’ll be back again and would definitely recommend.
Greens were immaculate. Course in great condition.
Great course,
Excellent course that provides a challenge for all golfers, great view across the county too
Nice views
On arrival met by friendly Pro Sam Punchard. Great little course with great views and some super holes. Will be going back again.
Great test of golf
Played in near perfect conditons. The views are superb and the greens were the best I've played on all year. A great test of golf as well with some challenging holes.
What great condition this course is in!
Played a great course in mint condition. Fantastic views, great course and clubhouse. Highly recommended.
Outstanding value
What a great course! First time we'd played it. Fortunately it was sunny and dry, with just a slight breeze, as I would imagine that it would be a different course in less favourable conditions. The layout is demanding but fair and the views from most of the tees are fantastic. Would strongly recommend
Great views!
Burnley GC is quite a hilly course, not particularly long but quite challenging in its own right.
Greens and fairways well maintained and coping well with the hot weather in June/July.
Plenty of run on the ball at present and sloping fairways can be tricky to keep your ball in play. A good test however and driver not always the best option.
As visitors, we used a cart to navigate the course and in hot conditions, found this the best way.
Tee times at very reasonable prices can be found with companies online.
Views are magnificent from around the course and ingot weather this is a course to experience if you happen to be in the area.
Nice scenic course
The course is a challenging walk but the fairways and greens are very good. The greens are quite fast but are true. The views over the hills are brilliant. The par 3s are extremely challenging and a lot of bunkers surround a lot of the greens. I can recommend Burnley Golf Club and the off course facilities of food and drinks are very nice.
HEART ATTACK
I love this course but if your unfit like me you will need a buggy.
I was that tired by the 15th hole I could hardly swing my club..
Given I grew up here as a junior I need to get fit but it nearly killed me last Saturday..

Burnley - Glen View
Looking forward to playing as it was 25 years since I visited - tee off 2:40 pm on a bright breezy day - greens were in very good condition but disappointingly many holes had temporary greens so put a dampener on the day
Poor etiquette/pace of play
In a nutshell we (a 2 ball) ended up behind a 3 ball (last group of Lady Captains Day), were not allowed to play through despite polite request, and at halfway point we were on for a 5 hour round! They had 4 clear holes in front of them, and then just walked off! Poor etiquette/pace, and email sent to course regarding this. Course was okay given that it had rained a lot recently. Would have given better rating for VFM but aforementioned issues affected this. Would be very careful on timing if I decided to return.
Excellent Course
This is a very good golf course, good test of golf and very well maintained. Views can be spectacular on a clear day adding to the overall enjoyment.
Burnley golf course review
Lovely course with great views, well laid and in good condition will definitely return.
Pleasant suprise
I booked this last minute , just fancied a Change from my normal venues
What a pleasant surprise
Pro shop vey welcoming , great start
One of the members lent me his fob so I could access toilets and gave us a briefing on the course, really friendly
The course was in great condition and although short off the yellow tees proved a real test
Went in the bar for a beer afterwards was made very welcome
Just a top day out
Definitely going to return with friends
Great value golf
Burnley is quite a hilly course, and on the day of my visit it was quite windy too. It was very good value from TeeOffTimes, and it was very quiet- a two ball in front virtually the only other players I saw. The pro was friendly and welcoming.
There are some fantastic vistas and one or two par threes that are framed beautifully. The course was in good condition apart from some greens were recently cored and sanded.
Thoroughly recommended.
The closest golf gets to mountain climbing with some outstanding panoramic views!! It is tough climb - and for some reason I nearly always felt we were walking uphill rather than downhill!! Condition of the course was excellent given the heavy rainfall the night before. Although some fairways were 'wet' this was mainly due to the water run-off downhill. Greens were in excellent shape. Perhaps a few too many blind shots but given the setting that is probably to be expected. We thoroughly enjoyed our round and hope to go back!
Very interesting course to play
Interesting course to play, varied holes, quite a few blind shots. Green condition for time of year excellent. Fairways were being treated but didnt cause any problem to play. Panoramic views and some fascinating holes. Will definitely play again.
Great views
Quite a hilly course with a few blind holes. Need to play more there to know where you're going. Greens were good and will be playing there again
