Travelled from Sheffield and wasn’t disappointed-overall a great course and good facilities

Price and course where great, sadly my mates golf shirt was collarless, and whilst the pro was polite when he mentioned it for ‘next time’..we overheard a few members moaning about it and making reference to ‘tee times’...only been playing a few years and it’s the first time I’ve heard something that backed up the ‘old view’ about unfriendly courses and old fashioned views - disappointing in 2018!

This has to be one of the nicest and well looked after courses I’ve played. Will definately be coming back.

Ok play was slow but it was the nicest day of the year so far so to be expected. But the course was in great nick and with no boring holes it was a pleasure to be out there.

Played in March so still using winter tees but summer greens. Winter tees shortened a lot of the holes as you would expect. Course in reasonable condition for the time of year and all bunkers were in play and good condition. Friendly members.

Course in good condition for Feb. Joined up with 2 other golfers as there was a society in front. Golf very slow because of society.

Greens were in superb condition for this time of year

We played late in the afternoon and enjoyed spectacular late evening sunshine. The course and the greens were immaculate and so we'll be here... again and again and again.

A superb afternoon playing a cracking course which enables high and low handicappers alike to enjoy. Fairways and greens in good condition. Friendly staff and relaxing post game clubhouse facilities. Davenport G.C. Well worth a visit.

Great course and weather was perfect just the 3 ball and 4 ball in front of my 2 ball were taking their time and didn't kept to avoiding slow play at all times

Considering all of the bad weather recently this course was in excellent condition. Well maintained and no sign of winter greens. Ground staff are working hard and making great improvements. Unfortunately the main changing facilities were being refurbished so a little restricting but that will be sorted.

Good course and conditions, bunkers were flooded on some holes. Slow group of 4 in front of us meant very slow pro so we only played 12 holes.

Course was in excellent condition considering it was Mid-October, with the fairways running well and the greens an absolute pleasure to play on, extremely fast and consistently true, I imagine in summer the greens are like lightening. Hollow-tining of the fairways was underway and selective tree maintenance, however this did not detract from the quality of the course for us. Some great holes on this undulating parkland course and it aesthetically looked wonderful, with manicured fairways and well placed bunkers on the fairways and surrounding the greens. Compliments to the Ground Staff and Davenport Golf Club, who are doing a great job and I hope to be back soon

We played Davenport today and must admit that it was very good indeed. The only negatives were that some of the tee's were set well forward, presumably due to winter closing in. Almost all fairways are tree laden and if you are in the tree's you invariably can not make the green with your second. Drive strait and the perfect fairways invite you to attack the flag. Most courses have a few poor holes (Don't have any character and have had to be squeezed in to make 18). But not here. I can not think of a single bad hole.Greens are excellent, as are the tees. Long holes, short holes, left to right and right to left, it has everything. Just make sure you are straight. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

A very enjoyable course, with a good mix of distances. Able to achieve a good score, but will need to play a clever game
