Nice Course
Great course loads of different types of holes. Only slight issue is greens need a bit extra care and some bunkers need in slight repair overall good day out.
Half decent course, poor upkeep
This course could be so much more than it is! The upkeep on the fairways and green are nothing short of shambolic! I'd say 80% of the greens have fairway divot like marks in them making puts go offline. However if this is sorted and the greens looked after a little more then this course has potential to be good! The bar wasn't open either... played plenty of courses now for less or equal to what we payed for this this and would say I'd be disappointed should I pay the amount I did for this course or more and turn up to the condition the course is in currently.
Lovely course lay out a fair test
First visit to this club, really enjoyed the course lovely layout and a fair test for all levels, course in great condition for time of year will definitely play it again soon.
Nice track with some testing holes and great views of Rotherham.
Some changes on the course since last played back in 2018. Good course with nice variety of holes and great scenery. It’s fairly undulating in parts so you need to be reasonably fit! Didn’t try the facilities due to Covid restrictions but well set up.
Will come back
Overall a good course to visit. We had breakfast which was good value and the Staff were really friendly and accommodating.
The course itself considering the amount of rain was in really good condition. It's very challenging especially if you wander too far off the open fairways. A couple of holes are blind so take a course planner!
My only gripe was the clubhouse was closed at 4pm and after a round on a course that's hilly we were in need of a beer!
Would definitely go again and book an earlier time to take advantage of the amenities afterwards
New to the course. Found it tough but enjoyable
A friend is a member so got me to go go round with him. Really enjoyed it. Was windy so found it difficult on certain holes and the course is challenging in areas. But overall, a really enjoyable experiance.
Great Layout, Shocking Conditions
I absolutely love the layout of this course and would play it more often if they looked after it like a proper course. 12 of us paid £25 each which was probably £10 more than it was worth condition wise. But, even having said that the layout was so attractive you wanted it to be better. Some really nicely thought out holes with dog legs and blind summits mixed in with some nice par 3’s. Would I play it again ? Yes absolutely I would, in summer, and I would be hoping that the green keepers have been doing their job of making it playable and protecting it when it really shouldn’t be open as the damage they are doing to it just means more work for an already decimated green keeping team I expect. Come on Grange Park owners, have some thought for the course and shut it long enough for the work to be done to repair the damage allowed to happen. Then people will flock back !
Worse course ever played!
Without a doubt the worse golf course condition I've ever played! May as well been a farmers field. staff very rude and unhelpful when we complained, didn't care about the health of my 65year old dad who fell due to the shocking muddy conditions. only played 4 holes and walked about in, NEVER again would I play or recommend this course!
Lovely course
Lovely, challenging course. Tee boxes we’re pretty terrible and some signage between holes would have been useful but really enjoyed my visit and would come back
Bad choice of course
Appreciate that this was before the lockdown period but the speed of play was awful, we spent more time waiting on tee boxes rather than playing. Ended up having to miss 15, 16 & 17 to avoid playing in the pitch dark.
Also wasnt told until we got to the course that we were playing with 2 other players we didnt know, whilst this wouldnt normally be a problem COVID is obviously a big factor currently and more households in one group doesnt make sense to me. This just needs to be better advertised better.
Course was in a very poor condition too, very very boggy and a lot of litter left lying around. I wont be playing at the course ever again!!
Good course
Good course but could do with some TLC on a few holes
I am really pleased that you enjoyed the layout of the course, i am sure you would find it even better when we go back on to proper tees in the spring. With regard to closing the course. we have made a committment to our members that we will not close the course, the reason being is that the greens are free draining and wet weather conditions does not do any long term damage. The rest of the course is however clay based and does retain moisture, we do inform our customers that the course is very wet prior to play, i understand that being from Doncaster where the courses are mostly constructed on sand that you will not be used to this. The great thing is though being on clay and retaining moisture means that when the weather turns warmer the grass grows very quickly and by the Middle of April any damage from winter play will be undetectable.
