The peak of perfection
An interesting course, with some spectacular holes, not too long and not a ball- losing outing. Fairways and greens in great condition.Beautiful setting. Friendly welcome from pro and clubhouse.
good fun course to play
played new mills a few times allways a challenge. good layout some great tee shots a great fun course to play good club house great food
one for all.

for all levels.
highly recommended.
New Mills autumn
Just played, had a great time and made very welcome. All greens and fairways in great condition. Quite a few interesting and challenging holes. Luckily I played with a partner who had been before otherwise I would never have believed the 12th Quarry hole.
Would love to play again now that I know the course layout.
Excellent
A great course with excellent views.. the course is well layed out and I’ll defin be back soon ..
Friendly fun course
Played here for the first time with my mate today and we both had a fantastic round and day.
Both staff and members were very friendly and helpful and course was great fun to play with some spectacular views.
We walked the course and felt fine afterwards as the course is not very hilly overall.
Definetly recommend this course to every golfer as I will certainly be returning again soon for another round.
Derbyshire delight
An absolutely cracking course. One when you play, you'll want to play again and again, if not to just enjoy the stunning scenery. Yet the course itself is a superb test of golf. All levels will get something from the course as it has varying challenges throughout. Some parts you can open your shoulders and get the driver out, other parts you'll need to think carefully about which club to use.
I've played New Mills quite a few times now and would recommend it to anyone.
Winter scars
A friendly, welcoming club. Fantastic views. Good layout. Unfortunately, the course had taken a beating in the Winter, and when we played, parts of the course and nearly all the greens were not in good condition. I will play here again, but later in the Summer
Good but wet
Course is a good course with two very different 9 holes front and back, with some very interesting holes.
The day we played while not raining the ground was very wet as were the fairways and greens, very little the club could do about that, and overall didn't detract from the golf that much.
A Hidden Gem
The course was in splendid condition throughout (tee boxes, fairways & greens) and the views were breathtaking. We also received a warm welcome in the clubhouse after the round and enjoyed a.quick bite to eat and a couple of beers, which were in splendid condition.
We have already booked a return visit when, hopefully, the winds will be more forgiving!!
Views are amazing
Excellent course with well maintained green and wonderful views and very forgiving fairways & great staff
Interesting course, breathtaking setting
Not overly long, but with a good variety of challenges. Well maintained. Friendly staff, comfortable clubhouse, good beer, basic good quality reasonably priced food.
Only bad point was my first 8 holes!!!
Course in great condition with enough challenges ready to punish you if you're off your game. Thoroughly enjoyable course.
Nice Course - very friendly members & staff
Very enjoyable round of golf with fantastic views over the Peak District. Only gripe is certain bunkers could do with a bit more sand. Other than that highly recommended.
Response to Mashie
All courses in the area and further afield would have been affected by the long period dry weather. You'll se I didn't comment on the condition, but rather the experience of playing a stunning course. I've played much higher cost courses, which have been devastated even more so by the summer drought. My opinion still stands, it's a fantastic course to experience a true test of golf, and to enjoy the stunning vista's which surround the whole course.
I played this course in July and it was in very poor condition. I cannot see any way it could have recovered in 2 weeks. Therefore I have to question the rating in the post from Wheelygolfer.
You must have played a different course to me. When I played it in July the members apologiesed for the poor condition of the course and it would not have recovered in the meantime.
