Excellent golf course and club house
Really enjoyed this golf course. Next holes clearly signposted. Great conditions.
Perfect day
A really nice parkland style course. 11 downhill dog leg right over a pond is remarkable!! Staff, captain all helpful and friendly. Practice range is small and cramped but only complaint here. A must play
A true north London gem
A challenging course in excellent condition with undulating fairways and tricky greens but boy what a pleasure it is to play.
Friendly pro shop and welcoming members will bring me back with more guests to play this beautiful course again.
Kept the same ball the whole round !
Good course
Really enjoyed my first round at Old Fold Manor. The greens had been tined and sanded so can’t say what they would play like in normal circumstances. The layout was very fair and quite challenging.
Great course
Very nice course, in good condition. Mainly par 4s. Nice outdoor bar area. Couple of nets and chipping and putting area.
Great staff
We played this today and was a bit disappointed to be told only 9 were open as work was being done on the other 9. This should have been advertised on the golf now web site.
The pro shop was excellent and said we could play the front 9 twice and warned us the green had been tined and sanded...also should have been mentioned on the golf now web site...
The pro shop said it would sort something out if we thought it was too bad.
Well....front 9 was in great shape and even though a bit sandy the greens still were better than a lot of greens I've played locally when they are at their best. Considering the amount of rain we've had in the last few weeks is was dry on most of the fairways.
In short...yes I'll be back to play again
Lovely old fashion course and clubhouse
We started the day off with a full English breakfast in the clubhouse which was excellent and went to the proshop to collect our score cards and the staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us information on the course as it was our first time playing here and it's a lovely old fashion course with dog-legs and greens that are like Augusta as its designed by Harry Colt and the 18th green is protected by a moat a great finish to a great day out , would recommend coming to play here🏌🏼♂️🏌⛳️
Wow!
Loved this golf course! Played Centurion Club the weekend before and I preferred Old Ford. Keep up the good work!
Mud
Probs a lovely course when dry. Had to play 2x9 holes as rest were closed off.
Doesn’t drain well at all. Bag carry only too. Perhaps should have flagged this up before we booked. Really friendly bar.
Wet Round
First time I had played this course and unfortunately it had rained earlier in the morning which compounded upon previous days rain. This meant that only a selection of 9 holes could be played and no trolleys were permitted on the course. This I only found out on arrival and because the round was booked online with Golf Now there was no indication that the course would be partially closed. I think a message sent out to those having booked online would be courteous and allow golfers knowledge of what lies ahead especially if travelling from a distance. Overall I enjoyed the round and drainage was good enough on most fairways and there were no flooded greens. Look forward to playing 18 holes on a dry day in future.
Difficult conditions as expected for a course in December. Many tees shortened but completely understandable for the protection of the course. Greens excellent for the time of year. I look forward to returning to play the course in its full lay out when I’m sure it’ll provide a good test.
In poor condition
Such a shame as played in the summer and a brilliant course with excellent variety of holes. This time was ruined by extremely boggy fairways which included 2/3 holes cut very short. No facilities for food or drink before 9am and even with a promise of halfway house being available, it never opened. Disappointed overall
Nice course if you have all day
Course was in very good condition with good greens and Tees. Only problem was took over 4 hours to play 15 holes waiting on every shot so a little painful
