Was impressed with the condition of the course especially the greens really enjoyed it!
Beautiful Course
Amazing course, very well kept considering the ever changing conditions the last few weeks.
Everyone we encountered were great, even the blokes I nearly sliced a drive into.
Definitely come again and recommend
Wow, fantastic location to play golf
What an entrance, course has an open layout with little deep rough inbetween so little time wasted looking for stray balls. Beautiful scenery, mature trees, fantastic greens. Would love to add it to my golf society diary.
First time player
Course greens where in fantastic condition for the time of year. Will definitely go back when the weather improves
Great Course
Course in great condition even though very wet. Greens were excellent. Very enjoyable
Greens need maintenance
Great course, have been playing here for a few years now n have taken a lot of different family n friends for a round here but have noticed in the last month or two the greens are in really bad state, lots of brown patches on some esp the 14th. Apart from that it’s a brilliant course and staff and members (most of them) are very welcoming. Have heard the new owner seems to be paying more attention to the club house than the course itself which I think is showing. Will still be heading back very soon tho.
Poor Condition
First time Ive placed the course this year. it's normally excellent value for money but not today
Many of the greens are in a shocking state; brown patches all over them and, on the back nine, many greens with pits and craters. The green on 14 was a complete lottery.
I really hope this is down to temporary staffing issues and not a symptom of the direction the club is going in. At its best it is a lovely course and it hope it returns to being that
Great course
If u love parkland courses you wouldn’t be disappointed. Great layout every hole is a challenge !! More sand needed in bunkers as a big downside also outside restaurant area needs a tidy up lots of food under chairs and plates on tables which was a bit of a turn off. Play was a little slow hence my rating. But the course will draw you back for more
Good course
Enjoyed the corse layout. Only criticism is that the fairways grass weas a little long and tee grassvery long. Staff were very friendly and welcoming
Great layout and views. Not too difficult
I really enjoy the course. Have played there 8-10 times times. Only bad thing was the greens were recently sanded. Not in good shape. Bumpy and inconsistent rolls.
I believe definitely worth the drive out from Bristol / Bath.
Courses to try or not
Really enjoyed game today greens not the best I’ve seen fairways a bit long but for£15 each great value and it’s still early in the year to get course up to standard
Good value and great scenery.
It’s not the longest course and pace of play was sometimes painfully slow but with tight fairways and challenging greens it was a good test... Overall a nice course.
Very dissappointed
In the past l have liked this course but the Management have to do something about slow play. I have never followed two groups of four so slow and so inconsiderate on any course anywhere else. I teed off at 10.15 so they know who they were.
With so many courses available l will go elsewhere until slow play is sorted and l suggest everyone else does so also.
Lovely course, good value
This course is looked after so well. Seems to get better and better. Great value for money.
Very pretty course
Very pretty in autumn with lots of mature trees - some in the way! Undulating parkland with wide fairways lots of bunkers but still allowing long drives.
A few tricky holes. Some water but not too awkward. Lovely course. They remove the leaves so nice to play in autumn and well drained so not too wet.
We always have to rush as there seem to be good players there who don't hang around.
Great course
Have played here countless of times and will keep going back! Course is a great, green are kept well apart from autumn time they are covered in leafs so can get abit annoying putting! Apart from that there nothing wrong with the course it’s. My only problem is slow play, I think that mayb instead of 8 minutes between groups they should give a little long especially when you tee off after a competition but apart from that would recommend this course to everyone and anyone.
4th time to play...will continue going there
Some great views. Good layout. Greens can be a bit poor on a couple of holes.
Overall a nice round.
A bit off the beaten path, but worth the trip
Really enjoyed the course layout. Open enough that you can recover...but some blind shots....mature trees....nice elevation changes.
