Perranporth golf course
Great day , good weather & good golf for a change. Golf course was in excellent condition, greens were very fast . Tough walk , but worth it .
Mansfield Boys on Tour
Fantastic Views, very challenging holes especially with 20mph winds, although I imagine this is often the case or windier
Greens true and fast and finishing with down hill putts makes scoring more difficult
Will visit again

Proper links golf
The course provided an excellent golfing test for 3 single figure handicap players, with fair and quick greens and lush fairways. Stunning views across the beach and town of Perranporth also.
Golf with friends
The course is very challenging. It is a links course and long as well as it exposed to the sea and prevailing weather. There are several blind holes and the fairways are undulating. The greens are fantastic and always in great condition. and fast. This is a great championship course and a must play. The club house and other facilities are also very good and the staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Tough but beautiful
Played this links yesterday in pretty strong winds. Lots of blind tee shots which do get punished if you’re not on your A game! Breathtaking scenery throughout. Not one hole didn’t offer a talking point about its layout. Would like to play several times to understand where to land the ball to get the best from the course. Highly recommend just for the views.
A Brute Of A Couurse With Lovely Scenic Views
After the first hole the next few holes were amongst the toughest I've ever played. Fairways seemed non existent and I came close to giving up a few times. Had to improvise a bit, including often sticking to my 5 iron to find the fairway and stay there. By the 7th I settled down and managed to keep going with the same ball until almost home, having lost 4 or 5 on the earlier holes. Some lovely scenery to enjoy and actually found I was enjoying it during the second 9. Will have to come back now I know my way around
Nice course , Shane couldn’t see more than 100 yards
Played course yesterday, nice welcome in pro shop and running to time, pro advised us to purchase course guide and it’s a good job we did. Sea mist rolled in and visibility was literally down to 100 yards for pretty much all afternoon. Greens were ok , not especially quick , but fairly true , sane with tee’s were ok, my main problem with this course was its lack of distance markers!! Must be first golf course in 40 years of playing where there’s been No 100 yard markers to green!! Only yellow square at 150. Surely a course with sea fret/mist mentioned on the card should be providing accurate distances, either with posts or sprinkler heads, obviously can’t use range finder in mist!!! Managed to get round with same ball and play 1 over handicap (10)
Would like to return in better weather and see the views but Please get some distance markers in, ones on course guide no where near enough
It's tough.. See below
Firstly I can't comment on the food or drinks as I was short on time.
As for the course I has numerous observations.
1) It's tough. If you don't like blind shots or hills then its best avoided. I lost count of the number of blind shots required from both Tee and fairway!
2) If you cant drive/hit straight then bring lots of balls or send a friend ahead to spot for all the blind shots.
3) If its windy double up on point 2. Stray shots are often difficult to find in the Heather/Brambles and long grass.
4) The greens were good. Undulating and tricky pace but receptive.
5) It has great views of the town, cliffs, sea and beach.
6) There is only one water hazard! But a few reveted bunkers to collect your ball.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but only if you are playing with a group or are of a fair standard... Not for a novice.
Lovely challenging links
Great links with great views on most holes . Very challenging , especially in the wind. Loads of blind tee shots, so take plenty of balls.
Excellent
Challenging links course that at first was daunting but excellent challenge that tests your game. Very fun to play and had to use a creative short game. Thoroughly recommended.
Authentic Links Experience
On a beautiful sunny day with no wind I took on this course having played it once before in the pouring rain
This time the views etc were fantastic but my golf not so good! That’s how it is some times!
Blind tees shots, hilly lies and fast greens; just like links golf should be.
I like this course and great value for money
A very warm welcome in the club house and if you’re lucky ( as I was the time before) some members asked me to join them
This helps to navigate you round without stressing where you go next
In summary a must play if you’re in the area
Pure links
Great test of golf on pure links layout. Blind shots, buffeting wind and fast greens. Certainly not for the novice or player.
Warm welcome from Pro Shop ahead of play and welcoming clubhouse after.
