Scarthingwell Golf Course

The course itself was in good condition but the greens were not . I know it has been very dry of late but the greens on my home course Pike hills are in much better shape , so it can be done . The ladies in the reception and the bar we’re excellent .

Lovely course but was charged £30 …. Which is too expensive when the greens on some holes were in very poor conditions ….. fairways were good but bunkers and tee boxes weren’t great either

Great course layout. Nice variety of holes.
Front 9 greens played terribly, in this condition dont think green fees merited £30. Have played previosuly and greens been superb.

We didnt get to tee off until 10mins after our tee time. The play was very very slow, I understand this happens sometimes.

Would give another chance as previous two times has been spot on.

Greens were threadbare and like beaches! Fairways were great and looked great too, tee boxes were average at best but the greens were atrocious. How they had the cheek to charge £25 to play on them we will never understand. I wish they told us that were so bad before we headed out and we would’ve gone home

Played on August 27th, course in great shape considering no rain, good pace of play.
Really nice sitting area for a afternoon pint, very clean and tidy, overall would recommend to anyone

The course is as always a nice place to play. The greens let it down this time round. They were ultra slow, looked like they hadn’t been cut in a while.

Had a lovely day enjoyed the coarse the only let down was the greens but looks like they are working hard to fix

Played here a few times now when we fancy a change from our home club
Always really enjoy the circuit ,excellent greens now and generally in good condition.All staff are always welcoming and lovely clubhouse.

I do not usually write reviews but thought it was necessary on this occasion. I've played this course lots and am usually happy with it as it's very local and usually does a good job for what I want. HOWEVER, the greens were shocking, putting in a bunker would have been faster! Not only this but spongey under foot and bare in places on EVERY hole. Bearing in mind we went on my recommendation and we paid 25 each, there are LOTS better deals elsewhere for the cost. To top it off the bar was closed for a nice cold pint afterwards, very frustrated and would recommend many other courses for cheaper instead!

Great track ,good layout and a decent test of golf ,green we’re a little spongy in places and the speed was not easy to read but overall a good day out

Nice flat track. Excellent fairways with good tree line and well positioned bunkers. Only let down were the greens. Very slow even in warm conditions and an obvious fungal/badly marker areas.

Played this course for the first time and was very enjoyable. Staff very helpful, practice facilities were excellent to get warmed up, and greens were very impressive for the price. Generally the course was in good condition all round, although some fairways and tee boxes could be improved. The course was in good condition however felt rather straight forwards and would have been more enjoyable with some additional hazards and larger bunkers as they were all very small and very few seemed in play. Unfortunately the flag poles were not standard sized which made judging the distance to the greens very challenging, full sized flags would definitely be recommended! On the whole was very enjoyable and felt value for money!

Some difficult dog leg holes, if you don't drive far enough,shot dropped..... Greens getting better. Challenging long par 3 final hole...... Quite a flat course.
