Reviews
Old Favorite
This course used to be my home /goto course. It's awesome to see they're bringing like back I to the course. It looks really good
Better Every Week!!
Wow, they are really turning things around at this course! I played multiple times last year because it was cheap but it was pretty rough. This year the greens alone are so much improved that it’s a much better course. Much improved fairways and tee boxes also. They still have some work, especially with the bunkers. But by August this place should be in top shape. You can’t beat the value even at full price in comparison to some of the other courses around.
The layout can be challenging making you really think through club selection. On several holes driver won’t be the best option off the tee.
For reference sake I’m currently a 22 handicap. Love this course this year
Really want to like it
They full filled their obligation.
The course had 18 tee boxes and 18 greens. ✔️
I paid a little over $20 ✔️
You really can’t expect much and that’s the mindset you’ll need playing here.
Staff was extremely friendly.
Several of the par 3’s shouldn’t be holes.
If you decide to play here manage your expectations
Slowest Golfers in the Midwest
The course was very well kept, staff seemed friendly, but good lord everyone ahead of us took 10 minutes per shot looking for their ball in the woods lol.
Fairways and greens were well kept , not very spaced out though. Feels like every hole is on top of one another.
Prairie’s keep getting better
They continue to improve the greens of the fairways come around next season gonna be a top 8 course in the metro east
A good course overall
Greens had a little aeration work done it looked like, there were several that while no crabgrass was growing they were sandy. Sandtraps were caked due to drying out. Fairways were nice but even the light rough was terribly overgrown.
Beautiful Course
The course is in excellent condition. The greens were aerated recently so a little bumpy. I really like this course.
Deceptive
I was not told about the newly aerated the greens.. The course was in terrible condition we lost balls in the fairway because it hadn’t been mowed why would they open the course I hadn’t been mowed in a week or two? The sand traps were horrible and the greens were ridiculously bad. I would’ve never played their had I had been told about the course conditions it was a waste of money and a waste of time and the insects were absolutely horrible.
Average Course
The course has a ton of potential but it just hasn’t received the care it needs to be great. Everything is rock hard and there are a lot of bare spots across the entire course. Probably wouldn’t pay more than $25 to play here but at that rate it’s a decent value. If you go in knowing what you are getting it’s not that bad but if you’re expecting an outstanding course you’ll be pretty disappointed. Again tons of potential for this to be an awesome course, just not quite there right now.
Bad Shape
From the tee box to the greens the course was not taken care of.
Nice Course
I really like this course. It has a few challenging holes. The Clubhouse is really nice.
Just (Don't )Do It
I don't ever write reviews ....I play courses all over STL area. Even at $20 dollars with cart for 18 this course is really not worth it. Fairways are non existent, dry and might as well be hitting off dirt infield at your kid's baseball field. Greens have really big bare patches in most of them. River Lakes is in better shape for the money. Or just pay a bit more and go elsewhere. Sorry for the bad but honest review. Just Don't Do It.
Need some Johnny on the spots through the course would be great. Other than that, no complaints
