Solid city course, absolutely terribly managed
The course itself is extremely solid, in good shape, and a good value for the price, but the pace of play is atrocious, and the ranger is non-existent at best and actively hostile at worse. People play in groups of six, seven, even eight golfers, treat three foot putts like they’re clinching the Masters while four groups are waiting on them, and you’ll sometimes you’ll tee off 30 minutes after your tee time while at others the ranger will hassle you to hurry up and drive when you’re five minutes early to the first tee box.
I get that it’s a city course, but the course is a cheap, nine hole gem and all of these problems are so easily mitigated with some basic competency that it’s baffling that they exist.
Love the course, but get it together.
Awful Starter
The starter ruined our round. We showed up exactly at our tee time (1:50). The starter told us we had to play best ball and that “2 of us should’ve already teed off” by 1:50. We told him that if that was the case, our tee time should’ve been 1:48. Unnecessary for a starter to be such a diva and ruin our vibes. Must just be a miserable guy. Go ruin someone else’s day, loser.
Thanks so much for your review! We hope to see you back again soon.
Worst golf staff possible
Played the course relatively fast and was on the Tee for the 9th hole and the starter came up to us at 8 pm and said we had to stop. Sun was still blatantly out with the last hole going directly to the pro shop. For people walking the golf course this was very annoying especially when the ranger just says “ no you’re good” when asked if we can just finished the hole. Proceeded to drive slowly next to us and stare at us while we walk back to our vehicles.
The staff was just rude and I will never golf here again
Booked Wrong Course
Thought I was booking at CPD’s Marovitz course but when I arrived to play they did not have my reservation. Turned out I had accidentally booked at Robert A. Black course. My mistake but website was not clear and I had to pay at both courses and only played one.
Nice Course!
went on and got a Hot Deal. Everyone was friendly. Linked up with some good guys. Fairways were in tact. Course looked great and played great. Had a real good time. Will be back.
Solid City Course
RAB is a short mix of 4s and 3s that gives you a good chance to work on your middle distance shots.
It's unfortunate that's how he dealt with it, but you should show up earlier than that. That's part of the etiquette of golf.
