Terrible price
We went and were told a price and we didn't recieve that price I'm very upset with the staff there along with how we were treated by inside staff the starter was awesome he was super friendly and cared about our safty the man inside treated us bad we over payed on having a cart along with the price we were told it would be to golf there
good take care
good course and very clean the people are frendly i liked better of the most public courses un the city ;)
Fun nine in the city.
While the bunkers, which are plentiful, have little to no sand the rest of the course is very enjoyable. Greens are consistently good and it always seems to have a good pace of play.
Decent city 9er track
You are playing in a lower-middle class public park. Expect plenty of bikers/walkers on perimeter. We started 20 mins after tee-time. Play was slow, but tolerable. Not bad shape considering our winter. Don't let scorecard length fool you--some nice holes here. Good track to walk. Bunkers neglected.
Got kick off on 8th hole - course closed before dark
Played this course with my daughter. Went out last for the day. We picked it because she is a new golfer and wanted a shorter course. We had fun until the 8th hole when the couse supervisor walked up and told us this was our last hole...they were closing. It was just around sunset, but we could have easily finished the last hole. So the guy tells us were done, then walks ahead and pulls the flag stick. On a side note, he did come out to our car afterward and said we could play two for one if we wanted to another time. He advised coming earlier....with a new golfer we wanted a last start...not wanting to hold others up...so much for being the good guy. We just wanted to play our final hole....I will not be back.
P.S. The bathrooms were bad...only one sink worked and then just the cold water. The ladies room had no paper towels. You can tell this is a city owned course.
Typica Chicago city course
Robert A Black GC, what to say, the course could not be LESS maintained. Tee Boxes are grass but a shambles, the fairways are the qua lit of the 2nd or 3rd cut of most true courses with huge mud patches, no maintenance, and as poor as I have seen. he bunkers, ask anyone, they are not really bunkers because there is no sand in them, its gravel, dont play out of them, they will scuff your cubs. The greens and fringe are pathetic, completely no maintenance, I will say that the design of many of the greens are fantastic, 3 level greeens with a lot of undulation, but with the condition of the grass on the greens, make every putt a matter of luck.
You play this course if you want to get out and simply hit some balls on a course, dont expect anything and you'll enjoy yourself.
It is 9 hole course.
The course is ok but not recommendable. The course improvement is required to attract more players. Greens are not smooth and are slow.
Very nice city course.
Great course, easy to get onto and well maintained. Very nice for a city course that's only 9 holes. My guess is because its where Walter Payton HS plays but for the price, who cares.
