Needs work
Course is in pretty bad condition and prices recently went up about $15 a round. I play here often for convenience and price, now I can drive an extra 15 minutes and pay the same for a course that offers a lot more. It sucks because I really want to see this course bounce back but the $45 price point when there are literal bunkers on the green is pretty bad.

Sadly disappointed
I played Fox Creek several years ago and was disappointed in how sad the. Purse has become. Tee boxes abs fairways not mowed, most of the greens were ok, but several had bad spots. Cart paths in most places were cracked and uneven. Paid $40 on a Sunday, not worth it.

Rough
Rough is the best word for the course. Fairways and greens haven’t been cut in many days. Weed patches dominating many fairways. Tee boxes are patchy, dry and hard. This place Melba’s great potential but needs work. Very friendly and happy staff.

Course needs help
I’ve played golf for 5 years now and never once played a course as bad as this. Alton/edwardsville is a beautiful area especially for golf but the course just wasn’t up to par. I’ve played par 3 courses with more lush greens than this. Greens were to dry and overgrown. Was rolling probably around an 8 on the greens. If u hit a good drive you would’ve thought u we’re still in the woods because the fairway was so patchy and dry. Hitting off concrete would’ve probably been better honestly. Course needs a massive overhaul and it shows.

Course not maintained
The course staff was great but unfortunately the course was in pretty rough shape. Lost multiple balls in the fairway due to grass length and weed patches. Overall not a course I would recommend.

Not the best Shape
The greens are very hard and very difficult to hold a shot to the green. The rest of the course needs some work as it is not in the best shape. I played it a couple weeks ago and it doesn't seem that anything has improved.

The course was not in the greatest condition, however the greens were pretty good. I would recommend this course if it was in better condition.

Nice course
Decent topography throughout all 18 holes. Back 9 stretches out with several holes 450 yards or better. Still quite a few areas where rain water pools but the zoysia grass made it passable. Overall a very nice course. Price through golf now made it palatable but the BS convenience fee was still attached.

Difficult course!
Much more difficult then I anticipated it is definitely a great layout to play! Make sure your phone is charged up or have a good golf gps with maps because there are some blind shots. If you place your shots well this can be a great scoring course, if you don’t then it will eat you alive!

Sooo Much Better
The lsst owner or manager ran the place in the Ground for at least 4 years it has been restablished and getting better every months the greens were destroyed by disease lack of care fairways never cutt.... The New owners Managers are Amazing Friendly and Have brought it Back....still needs more Work....But What a job so fsr...Wow!!
