Fall evening golf
Teeded off at 3 so we had 3.5 hours to get in 18 on a Wednesday evening.. We got through 16 but really 15 with decent light. The course yin good condition. I love the layout. Greens weren't punched yet so I made my share of putts. Can't blame the lack of light on the course but the pace could have been better.

Too many walkers; slow pace
Nice challenging course, well maintained, but too many senior walkers during my round - - slow pace.

We aren’t Pros
First the positives. Course is very well maintained with great practice facilities. Staff is friendly. The fairways are very narrow and the way they have the tee boxes set up it is very easy to hit into people. Heard a lot of “Fore”. The greens are ridiculously hard. If you are the type of golfer that likes getting a good tee shot off then have the approach land on the green then pray you don’t 4 Putt this is the course for you. People in my group and the group behind us were all in the 10-20 handicap range and the lower guys were having a hard time breaking 90. Pace of play was 5 hours for a weekday and I am sure it’s the greens that slow things down. Now maybe if you play this course enough and get the greens down you can score well but maybe the place just isn’t for me.

Slow play and terrible greens
No rangers monitoring pace... Greens full of ball marks and divots... more areas under repair than any couse I have ever seen.

Fun but difficult
This course is challenging because it demands that you hit the greens. Miss by a yard off the side and lose 2 strokes. This, to me, is a fun deviation from most public courses in the area. Where the course misses the mark is on some of their pin locations and green designs. Even if you land the ball pin-high, center of the green, you are often still penalized by a double-breaking, severely uphill putt. Some people might get more frustrated than usual out here.

Greens are truly amazing and course layout is remarkable for an inner city muni course!
Second time I played here after remodel and wonder why I haven’t come back more often——-I think prime times are hard to book

Its Worth It
I played this course close to a 1000 times about 50 years ago when I was in High School. Its been redone and its a very different course. The greens are great and have much more contour than they used to have. They are also very quick. Many of the tee shots are blind, which makes it a bit more challenging. I certainly don't hit it as far as I used to, but I thought it still played short from the silver tees. The course was in great shape and I plan on getting out here again.

Clown greens
Expect to three putt everything. Don't pay for a cart, they likely have groups going every 10 mins and it will be pretty jammed up.
