Great course
I live 55 miles away and played here 15-20 times this year

What a value!
Finally drove up from the City to check out Shepherds Crook and I was not disappointed. Course was in great shape, the layout is fantastic and it was a lot of fun to play. Greens were large, undulating and fast! It is a course that both low and high handicappers will enjoy playing! If that wasn't enough, the cost was great. One of the best values in the Chicago area!
Great course for Golf!
Weather conditions were perfect and so was the condition of the course. Tee Boxes, Fairways and Greens were all in perfect condition.
Bunkers were all well maintained, although I only found two. The rough was a good height but just penal enough because of thickness. My salute to the groundskeeping crew!
Just a great track!
Pace of play was really good.
One of the best courses in the NE Il SE Wis area for post round amenities. A wonderful patio overlooking the 9th and 18th fairways and greens. You get a long view of the course which a fantastic panorama.

Pristinely manicured undulating greens. Fun layout with good variety of distances .Par 71 with 3 very long par 5’s. 10 minutes between tee-times. Great experience

Great value & well maintained
The Crook is a great course for all skill levels. Fairways & greens are as good as any course around. Honestly, I’ve played Thunderhawk and Shepherds Crook is better maintained and a lot better value for the price. Also the patio is a nice place to sit and overlook the course. If you like a burger The Crook Burger is usually excellent. If you want a cold one after they have a nice selection of beers. Very rarely does the pace of play go over 4 hours. I consider The Crook my home course.
