Reviews
Beautiful course
Beautiful course with well kept putting greens. It is exactlly what the course is called, "hills". Loved it.
Nice little course in the country
The facility was in good shape. Nicely maintained, and somewhat challenging. The course is 5600 yds, but plays longer than listed. It has several dogleg Par4's that can been driven through the fairways with ease. The first time around, these will create issues for the golfer. The par is 70, and the only par 5's are back to back at #6 (475) & 7 (550). My wife and I really enjoyed the play. The staff (family owned) were extremely nice, and made every effort to ensure that we enjoyed our round. Local clientel were also very nice to the visitors. :)
Lots of hills
Had a great time. Lots of long holes. Everyone is nice and friendly.
Great course
The first time we played was on Friday, July 18 and enjoyed it so much we went back on
Saturday the 19th. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. A beautiful course.
good for the 1st of January
It was a cold day, and the course was kinda muddy, but hey, it was fun for January 1 in KY!!
Bad timing
This course has potential. Short but had rolling hills. Unfortunately we played at the wrong time of year. It was early November and there were a lot of leaves on the ground. They did not pick up the leaves so it was very hard to find your ball in the fairway. The greens had just been aerated and the back nine greens were being done that day so it was closed. Would have not wasted a trip from Louisville if we knew this. Would like to play this in the summer to give it a fair review. As it was I would not waste my time.
Nice family owned golf course
The owners (staff) were super friendly when we arrived offering us a bag of tees, golf ball, matches, and scorecard. The course is well maintained for a family owned operation. The course itself has some funky holes with a lot of blind tee shots and blind green placements. If I played this course a few times it would be a better experience. Unless I had no other options I hate to say I would pass on playing there again because of the layout, not the staff or how it is maintained.
good course
blind greens driveable greens its a par 70 overall good time
Great value
Had great weather really enjoyed playing this course. I'm a Florida boy used to playing pretty flat land, the back nine of this course is hilly and challenging For someone of my poor skill level.
The greens were in great shape!
The course was very well kept! The staff was very friendly and very helpful since my friends and I had never been there before. The other individuals playing there were also very helpful!
Great little course no body really knows about..
Just a short drive from Eastern Jefferson, this course did not disappoint. I was running a little late, so I called and the friendly staff was more than accommodating. The course itself is rather short. I played the first several holes from the middle tee box and driving within 100 yrds from the green every time. So, I moved to the back tees and then I was playing about 130 yrds from the green. The greens were in great shape and most greens are flat with little or no break. The fairways were ok, but the country scenery was great. Reminded me of the course I grew up on. In my book, for the value, the friendly staff, the scenery and the layout, this course is a can’t lose. FYI- Watch out for Hole #12. Second shot is a blind shot to the green. Will come back often.
Nice surprise
I thoroughly enjoyed playing Cardinal Hills...and when they say "Hills", they aren't kidding! I usually walk the courses I play, but this one is out of the comfort zone. I was glad that I had booked this course on GolfNow with a cart. If I had not paired up with a gentleman that regularly played the course, I would not have had the decent round that I did. There are lots of blind shots from the tee boxes, but overall I thought the course was very nice. The staff was very friendly. I will probably play there again.
Greens very nice!!
A very nice course with undulating fairways and greens. many blind shots keep you challenged, but not too difficult. the greens were in super nice shape. The fairways and tee boxes were well maintained as well. The cart paths could use some improving, as in some places you rode on dirt. Overall, a good course with personality. Setting very relaxing and peaceful.
Nice course
You can tell that this is a family owned coarse . The people are very friendly. The course is in good shape considering the time of year. Like this coarse !
Always fun to play here!
I have played here for a number of years. The staff and the people are topnotch. There was no wait on the tee boxes.
The weather was 68 early spring grass was just starting to emerge. Fairways were green as were most parts of the course with no muddy areas.
Greens were running a little fast.
It was breezy I shot a 98 which is what I seem to do....oh well
Had a great time anyway with friends.
Bring some buds and play some golf here. You will return!
