Great layout open course good for beginners I recommend this course .

The course was in good shape for winter golf. The pace of play was good. Finished under 4 hours. The price is great for a Friday before Christmas weekend. I listed the weather as cold but cool is more like it. It was in the Mid 50s with abundant sunshine. The regular rates are very fair and the GN rates are sometimes ridiculous for an Ellis Maples course. I highly recommend this course any time of year. The greens sometimes take a hit during the summers due to excessive heat & rain. It's a muni so don't expect CC flair or prices.

If you're looking for a challenging layout that is still very scorable, look no further. Ellis Maples hit the nail on the head with this great design. Come out and play, I guarantee you won't regret it.

I played here before and it was a great value for the money so i decided to return. There were 2 groups of 5 in front of us that lead to a 5.5 18 hole round. I joined a single and then a twosome to make up for the time waiting on the groups in front of us, totally unacceptable. I understand the course needs to generate income but this was something I haven't seen before. The course was as expected and actually the greens were in great condition but the pace of play was excruciating!

Nice greens, tough, never a flat shot though.
Nice big bunkers good sand to hit out of.
There is a lot of slow seniors thatplay there often but if you don't get behind them it's great.
They don't like to pay for carts and like to spend 5 hours there.

Very nice course. First 3 holes are tough. It lightens up a bit until 8. Brutal par 3. 12th is fun but tough. Good luck on 18. Found the course to be challenging but fair. Definitely top of the list anywhere around alamance or guilford

Fairways decent. Greens fair but have some brown spots. Nice layout

Course has deteriorated rapidly over the past couple of weeks. The greens are getting very bare of grass and the maintenance crew has covered up bare areas with green dye or paint.
Numerous folks out there that hadn't a clue about etiquette and treated the course like a driving range, dropping ball after ball.
Overall, not a fun experience in 95 degree heat.

Read other reviews how good the course was and was very disappointed. Several greens had hardly any grass on them and almost all had lots bare spots. The same goes for the fairways and had to tee off from wrong teeboxes a few time because the conditions had them closed.

Those things happen but I also wasn't a fan of the course layout. A couple of interesting holes.

Staff was friendly.

Great value. Only negative is there was a person hand watering the greens. He was going forward so he held us up on several holes. He should have been going backwards.

If you are in the area you need to play this course. Smooth greens and a great layout.

Course is fun and challenging for all levels. I played from the tips which plays fairly long on the front 9 and fairly short on the back. The greens were in fantastic shape. The bent grass is a little long in the summer because it struggles to survive in the heat when cut short. Looking forward to playing the greens in the cooler months. The fairways were in pretty good shape but there were areas that were struggling in the heat. But for $10 through GolfNow for 18 holes its absolutely worth the value. Looking forward to playing here again this weekend!

One of the few golf courses around with bent grass greens. This course has some interesting dogleg holes. Great course for the price.

really enjoyed my first outing here. went in as a single just looking to play on a beautiful day. had a 11:30 t time, arrived at 11:15 and was told that the men I was playing with had already gone and just go out and hook up with another group. found a young boy fresh out of college and he and I played together and had a great time. found the course to be in good shape and with enough in and outs and ups and downs to keep this 13 handicapper happy. would recommend this course to the average golfer for the cost and layout.

very well kept course. greens were very good condition. fairways in good shape too, nice and layered cut. overall a great day of golf. will be back!!:}

Very enjoyable experience with 2 of my Sons. Beautiful weather...greens in excellent shape...fairways ok shape...overall course and facilities condition very good.

I had not played this course in a few years. I was really pleased with the fast greens and the shape of the fairways. I would go back again even without the golf now pri e.

We thoroughly enjoyed this golf course. The setting was magnificent on the back nine The greens were our favorite part of the course. I do not remember the type of greens but they were very true and had a good speed to them, They held very well on approach. The course was well maintained. Fairways were a little thin in some places but got decent divots. We liked the practice area as well. Having an area to chip with bunker near the range really helps.
