Indian Valley Golf Course

The practice putting green gives you a great idea of how nice the greens are on the course. The course was well kept and the staff has always been very friendly. We played at the tail end of a tournament and the starter made sure we tee'd off at the right time to avoid having to wait behind multiple groups. We played from the yellow tees and were challenged at every hole. The course rewards accuracy and I strongly recommend picking up the course book at the pro shop so you know where to miss.

Based on the lack of deals and tee times on golfnow I expected the course to be crowded on a Friday morning however there were just a few people there. Overall the course has good variety and the greens fairways are in great shape. Even though there was rain recently and the course is mostly in river bottoms the greens were fast all day. The 12 hole has two creeks crossing the fairway and a front side bunker that forces a layup or go for it decision if your tee shot is true. There are also a few par 3 holes that are a challenge. While there is water everywhere it only comes into play on a few holes if you stay near the fairway. Hard to believe this is a city owned park as it has amenities usually reserved for the more pricey courses. I wish we were offered more morning tee times here

Indian Valley is a nice course with many interesting holes. The greens were the best that I have played this year (2014). Fairways are still spotty. It is too early for the bermudagrass to be out and the weather has been hard on the dormant surfaces.

This course is really nice. A real gem of the area.

Alamance County's best course for the price. The City of Burlington does a great job, of keeping up the course.

I played Indian Valley. The course has been in good shape over the past years. Its a good layout with a nice variety of holes. The greens were in great shape with good speed. I always enjoy playing here. I really didn't have anything negative to say about it. I look forward to playing it again.

Owned and operated by the local parks and rec dept. Well maintained. Be prepared to wait if you start before lunch time.

This course has it all!! Super nice practice greens,driving range and clean electric golfcarts plus a very nice proshop and grill.

Played for $11 on hot deal , greens perfect as always , fairways were a little shallow but that could be due to the lack of rain ,

Staff was super friendly. Course was cool with many doglegs. Greens were just aerated so would love to back when they are rolling better. It was a cool course.

I would play this course again. The course was in good shape and the greens were consistant. Had a great time for the first time there.

New greens vast improvement. Still challenging, but be wary of playing here after heavy rain. Because of proximinity to Haw River, course tends to puddle up. Most bunkers were washed out or unplayable the day we played. Still a good bargain.

The only problems I found with this course was 1) The back nine does not drain as good as the front nine and several holes were extremely wet requiring one to improve lie by several yards from casual water. 2) The greenside bunkers have heavy sand and were wet and not raked making it almost impossible to make a proper shot from them. I had to treat them as a fairway bunker and play a clean pick to get the ball on the green. Especially the deeper bunkers. The shallow bunkers I putted out of.

Only reason I don't say great is because of all the standing water. But you can't help that, as much rain as we have had. Greens were true, and in spite of a recent slitting, they putted well. Great value. Would (and have) pay full price to play this course.

Greens were pretty slow due to much rain over a 9 day period with much standing water all over the course. In spite of that, the course was in excellent condition. Really kind of hard to believe considering the rains.

GN had a great price at this course so we decided to try it. The golf shop was super friendly and we were able to tee off right away as the course was not too busy. Each hole has an excellent picture that shows you all the hazards. My GPS had this course in, so yardage was easy. Los of sand all over the course especially around the greens. The fairways were good for winter and the greens were excellent. The back 9 was a little slower as we had a foresome walking in front of us. Overall a great experience and I would definitely play this course again. They had really nice new carts and the green fee was a great bargain.
