Lakeside Golf Course
About
Originally a nine-hole course when opening in 1966, Lakeside Golf Course expanded to 18 holes in 1993. The course, located close to downtown Salt Lake City, boasts views of the Wasatch Mountains. It is suitable for players of all abilities. The course was built on relatively flat terrain that features plenty of water. Half of the holes have water hazards coming into play. Lakeside Golf Course makes accuracy a priority rather than distance with several out of bounds areas and holes that are short and tight. The facility also has a practice range as well as putting and chipping areas for golfers to use.

Rip off
I booked 18 holes with a cart. Lakeside said I didn’t have cart purchased. We cleared that up. Then they had the back 9 closed by the time we arrived. I asked about that they said we only booked 9 holes. We only got half of what we paid for.
I won’t do this again.
Interesting
The cause looks decievingly easy & there are places (on the back 9 ) that will reach up & grab ya. One of my favorite courses. Staff is always friendly . Look forward to playing it again.
Great winter round, but very slow
Lakeside GC is a challenging course that I enjoy playing, and having the opportunity for a winter round on January 2nd was excellent; the course, although fairly frozen (greens, tee boxes, fairways, rough), was in very good shape; the only drawback to the cold but sunny round was an extremely slow 4-some that our 3-some was unfortunately immediately behind; despite the slow play, it was a great round
enjoyable play, good conditiom, comfortable. pace was very slow but marshall tried to speed uf the pace.
Slow, steady round
Lakeside GC is a popular course in a community of people who golf, so it is often very busy which affects the pace of play which isn’t too bad, though; otherwise, the layout, challenge, and staff make the experience quite enjoyable.
Good public course
I enjoyed my round, I was paired up with a local member, and it was a pleasurable experience. The course is fairly easy if you are a low handicap and keep it on the fairway, rough can be deep in places, front nine is pretty straightforward but the back nine has a couple tricky holes That bit me. Overall, I would play it again and enjoyed the experience.
Greens punched slow pace Fairways and green aprons good
At this time I would not recommend a friend play the course, but maybe in a couple weeks once the greens improve after being punched recently.
The course was very slow and busy for the Fourth of July week I guess. A lot of young teens playing the course and they were not playing fast at all.
Not sure why the marshall didn’t hurry up some of the slower foursomes.
AWESOME GOLF COURSE
PLAYED HERE SEVERAL TIMES WHEN I'M IN THIS AREA,COURSE CONDITION EXCELLENT,VIEW EXCELLENT,STAFF AWESOME...ALWAYS A GREAT EXPERIENCE
Decent for the money
Little Mickey Mouse course. The layout is short and congested but wide open and fun for beginner golfers. Fair priced with well manicured greens/fairways. I would play again for fun but not for competition.
This course’s layout was nice
The course had great staff as well as great prices for there game
