The Quarry Golf Course
About
The land that now provides a home to Quarry Golf Course was formerly the abandoned Alamo Cement plant. Keith Foster converted this unique location into a challenging layout with a links-style front nine and a back nine that plays entirely through an abandoned rock quarry with walls over a 100 feet tall on three sides. The first half of the golf course features plays through open fields of rolling hills with native grasses and a near absence of trees. Creeks and streams come into play on six holes of the front nine. The quarry pit on the back nine is truly the most unique feature on the golf course. Quarry Golf Course's most dramatic hole is the 17th, which requires a tee shot over a deep ravine that is framed by a 40-foot waterfall.

Great layout, Excellent staff
Everyone treated me very nicely. Love the layout, challenging at times but fair. Course in great shape. Range under some construction, so limited to irons only.
The Quarry
Great condition. Play it soon as the greens are Poa and will die off as soon as gets hot. They have plans to completely to work the Greens with Bermuda soon. Fun track to play.
So many great holes
This was one of the best courses we have played
Every hole was so interesting
Loads of water in play — the character the quarry brings to the course is brilliant
It’s a very playable course — every chance you could play to your handicap
We will definitely be back ASAP
Many thanks
Fun track.
Enjoyed the round. The pace was a little slow but not unbearable.
As a visitor from out of town
I have been paired with golfers from the area and always enjoyed the sportsmanship and courtesy of the players. The course is player friendly and most challenging in the back nine. The staff are friendly from the moment of entering onto the lot to finishing the course.
Good course, very friendly staff. The conditions were very good and the pace of play was fine. The front side is short, tricky and fun to play.paay attention to the GPS on the cart as water comes in to play a lot so play strategically. The back play in a quarry and is more difficult, but more interesting.. A must play in the San Antonio area.
First Time
Loved the layout here. Absolutely beautiful views, especially on the back side. Back tees were challenging on the back. Truely unique layout.
Great course
This is a beautiful and unique course. The pace of play was awesome. The conditions were great considering it was still early spring. The staff was very friendly! We had a wonderful day and would love to go back!
Greens are slow!!!!!!
Course was in good shape and staff was very friendly but greens are extremely slow!!!!!! for the amount of money they charge to play here you would think the greens would be a lot better. Very disappointed.
Great Course
The Quarry was in great shape, with near perfect greens and really nice fairways
Great Course. Will play every time I come to San Antonio best course in the Area.
Love the back 9 in the Quarry !! The starter guy was really nice and had great info on the course and good recommandations for another course in the region.
Great course, great value and challenging
I’m a first timer at The Quarry - in town from the northeast. Was able to snag a hot deal for $80, which seems reasonable. The driving range isn’t anything to write home about, and paying $10 for a small bag of range balls….really?
The course: I like the openness of the course - fits my eye . The fairways were firm and greens were in great shape! For me, the back nine was what really made my day! It was such a different experience than the front nine, and definitely makes me want to come back. If I’m ever nearby, I’d definitely come back for another round.
