I like to go for it more often than not ...I think that if you don't challenge yourself you don't grow and improve! Playing for your scorecard may take a couple of strokes of but where's the challenge !!! It's not all about the handicap! I can play a par 3 course in 4 or 5 over...going for the green over water at 180 yards from the fairway instead of laying up, thats me....

South Course at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club
Played On 12/17/2012Course is in good condition , green fairways and green greens !
I like this course because it is anything but flat . Nearly every hole has some terrain fluctuation and seventeen has a large Bald Eagle nest and often the resident ! Even though the course winds thru a designed community , you hardly notice , and many holes have no houses on or visible from the course. Greens are very consistent and fairly good size on most holes , but well guarded ,,, From the blues fairway bunkers are in play for most golfers and well placed to increase the challenge.
Highland/Grove at Errol Country Club
Played On 12/12/2012Overpriced just because they have a hoity toity golf school the golf course is now great? Hasn't change enough from when it was 20 bucks to justify 40
Used to be a good be a fun course for $20 was averagely maintained and plenty of challenge, but now it is twice as much and not close to being and never will be twice the course it was...Just because they now mow everyday and have a fancy school associated with the club doesn't change the layout of the course which has always been good. They condition has improved but it isn't a $40 a round course, mostly because of the lack of scenery ; most of the holes have houses on one side and water, or should I say reeds on the other can only think of one hole without houses !

For an urban course,the fairway are generously wide well maintained,and well groomed . Greens were newly seeded but fairly fast. Elevated tees,flat fairways, and slightly elevated greens. Definitely will return again!
