Played as foursome. Pace was very good. The course is partly challenging, some holes have water in play. Tee boxes and fairways are good and well playable. Bunkers are OK. Greens have mediocre speed, but are mostly well maintained. Fox Squirrels are all around and love to get peanuts – this is really something special on this course! Staffs are cordial, we forgot the sun protection cream and as we could not buy it in the Pro Shop they offered us to use some of their they have had there – very friendly!. Overall it is a nice track and the hot deal of Golfnow.com offers a very good rate.

Tee boxes and fairways are good, though not like at the top courses, but still well playable. Bunkers are OK. Greens are rather slow but well maintained. Staffs are very cordial. You get more for your money, than you expect, as the rate is very low. It is worth to make a one hour trip from Orlando.

I don’t like the redesign that much, but this is my personal feeling only. Some holes a partly challenging and require straight shot. Overall a nice and quiet place. Staffs are cordial. Played as twosome. Pace was very good. The course is partly under reconstruction and so several holes are shortened to par 3 (instead par 4 or par 5) – the course plays as par 67 only currently. This would not be a problem, even we have been noticed about it in the pro shop only (!?). But the course (or the remaining part of it) is really not in a good shape at all. Fairways are partly very soft and to much wet, it is even hard to find a spot to replace the ball… Greens are fast but partly not in good condition. Actually it would be better to close the place and not let people book it and get disappointed. Under these circumstances it is highly overpriced, even with a hot deal from Golfnow. You can play many better courses in the neighbourhood for even less money. Avoid going there at the moment; it is a wasting of Money!

Played as foursome and the pace was just a little too slow, but OK. Don’t understand how can anybody give 4 or even 5 star to this course? The conditions are rather fair, some tee boxes don’t have grass but a mix of grass and sand. Fairways are partly very nice, but have a lot of bare spots and are some places horribly wet. Off the fairways is the same – rough is wet and soft. Playing a high approach shot and being short to the green by 2-3 yards results in a buried ball in the mud (you may hardly find it…), as the entry to several greens is so wet, or even muddy. I played from the tips and the Par 4 are mostly by far too short, but the Par 3 mostly rather long. The course is not challenging at all – maybe except the Par 5 No. 6, where you have to carry a long drive over water. The holes seem somehow to be chaotically organized, a lot of crossing other paths and even a tee box for two different holes (4 and 8, I think) where 8 players discuss who will hit first… Bunkers are rather OK. Greens are not bad, if having enough grass, as there were some with bare spots on it, but have different speed. The staff was very cordial. As the course is rather very short (even from the tips) one can shoot some birdies and a lot of pars – from this point of view it is a good course for training… Because of that and because the Golfnow hot deal rate is somewhat acceptable I recommend the course, but don’t expect anything special and no big challenges.

Played as twosome and the pace was a little too slow, but still OK. The course is somewhat challenging and on some holes it requires precise shots – as well from the tee box as approach to the green. The only hole which is still not nice at all remains the par 5 No. 7. It has partly still no or very little grass on fairway… Other tee boxes and fairways are mostly in good condition. Thanks for partly cutting the big tree left in front of the tee boxes on Par 5 No. 12 – now it is fair… Greens are good, but some have different speed. Overall it’s a nice course, worth the drive from Orlando and thanks to Golfnow’s hot deal for a very good rate.

I have played this course many times and must say that it is in good condition. Tee boxes are mostly very good, as well as the fairways. Bunkers would need some attention. Greens were good but a little too slow. The pace was rather to slow – we played in the afternoon and expected it faster as there were twosomes in front of us only… Overall it is a good place to go, with some challenges. The twilight rate is very good.

Started as foursome, but played the back nine as twosome, because the couple we were paired with took a rest… The pace was excellent – approx 3 ½ hours. The course is pretty good, mostly pure nature and interesting layout. Tee boxes and fairways are of mediocre quality, but well playable. Bunkers have good sand in it. Greens are not too fast, but have still a good speed – mostly with good grass, some have had little bad spots, but overall in good shape. On the lakes were some water skiers, but it did not bother at all.
Overall it is a nice place with very reasonable rate – it is definitely worth the 45 minutes drive from Orlando.

Played as twosome and the pace was rather good. This course is worth the approx. 1 hour drive from Orlando. It is in good condition, though tee boxes and fairways may need some attention. Bunkers are very good, well maintained with proper sand in it. Greens are rather fast and extremely hard – not easy to find your pitch mark and even more difficult to stop the ball! If you want to see an alligator, this is the place to go – there were some in different sizes.
Overall it is an enjoyable track and for a reasonable rate.

I got a round on this course as a birthday present and there could not be any better choice!
It is very impressive from the entry to the club, passing the pro shop, being in locker room where the names of all the PGA players are placed on each locker. Excellent welcome by the registration. We received a cart with already prepared rental clubs (Titleist), changed some of the clubs and the putter to more convenient one and went to the driving range. Same here - 1st class service provided. We played as twosome and the pace was excellent. The course was in pristine condition, nothing to complain, except the very strong wind making it really not easy to keep the ball on the fairway or even to hit it on the green on the two short Par 3 at the shore. Needed two clubs more than usually. The course is partly very challenging. Tee boxes and Fairways are in excellent condition, as well as the bunkers. Greens are rather fast and true. We’ve seen some chameleons (giving the name to the course) – first on the first hole already…
After the round having a drink at the clubhouse, it is a joy to have a view on the 18th hole.
As it was a birthday present, I have no idea how much was the round, but I must say, no matter how expensive it might have been – it was worth every single penny!

Now, this course was always a hidden treasure for me over many many years. I did not play it for several years, as my experience in 2015 was very bad and gave it now another try. We had a very pleasant and rather fast round (3 1/2h). The course is in good condition. Tee boxes would definitely need some attention. Fairways mostly just OK and bunkers playable. Greens are rather fast, true, but have some spots needing attention. But overall it is (again!) a good course to go for a round for reasonable rate!

Bunkers contains partly different kind of sand or at least it feels like, Greens are pretty fast, but seem not be always 100% true! Lot of longer putts run partly erratically. But overall it is a well playable course for a very reasonable rate.

Played as twosome in 3 ¾ h. Good track with some tricky holes, requires well placed straight shots. Tee boxes, fairways and bunkers in rather good condition, greens semi-fast but true. Overall a good place to go for very reasonable rate.

I did not play this course for several years, as it was not in good shape. It has change dramatically. The course was very good, even after a rainy day before we’ve played. Tee boxes and fairways in rather good condition, bunkers may need a little attention. Greens rather fast and true. Pace was excellent. The course is not easy to play on a windy day, like we’ve had, but it has a good diversity of tee boxes to be chosen. Overall it is (finally again!) a course to be recommended.

Were told by the starter, that there is tournament on El Campeon in front of us and it may take some six (!?) hours to play behind it. He offered us to play Las Colinas instead (!?) – we did. Las Colinas is not a bad course, but it feels like “inhomogeneous” – someow it does not fit together. On the front nine par 4s are rather long and on the back nine rather short. Very long ride between several holes there. Tee boxes, fairways and bunkers mostly in good condition – greens rather fast. Overall not a bad track, but to me it is nothing to be remembered. And the rate was rather high, as we’ve paid for El Campeon…
