Great course design and the greens are really nice this time of year! Stay clear of the water as the rough is mowed and everything rolls into the water :)
Aggressively Tactful Course
Since moving to DFW area 2 years ago, this is HANDS DOWN the most unique, tight-lying course I have played. Although the driver is kept in the bag on a plethora of par 4’s, understanding one’s distance is imperative here. The course is incredibly narrow (especially the front) and will challenge you. That feature alone makes this course my favorite in all of DFW. Greens were quick but allowed check.
Great course and great staff
Course is in great shape with the lack of rain for the last 45 days. Greens roiled true. Great value for the money during the week.
Great course for the $$$
Well worth playing if you can. The grounds are well kept, the layout is open with water in play. I will absolutely play again. Great value.
Great Course, Great Value, Will Return!
Sky Creek Ranch is a very nice course, extremely playable for people of different playing abilities.
I played the tips, and was challenged strategy wise around the course. The par 5's are just short enough from the tips to entice you to go for the green in two, but there are forced carries on most. The par 3's increase in difficulty as they ranged from 185 up to 235. The par 4's give a good mix of strategy as well, some needing to layup off the tee to avoid creeks, while others allowing you to let the big dog eat. Very enjoyable course, as I played with my 8 year old son and 60+ year old parents. Course offers a $10 discount if you provide an email address, but then gets it right back in range ball fees ($9 a bucket). I will definitely be back!
One of the best courses in the DFW area!
Sky creek is an outstanding course! Tee to green is fair, but challenging. The Greens will challenge your putting skills. All in all worth the time and money to play. You will not be disappointed!!
Sky Creek Ranch
Course was in good condition. Pace of play could have been better, but okay for a Saturday. A little expensive for the round, but decent. Challenging and you have to hit all the shots.
Solid
One of the more solid courses in the metroplex. Some challenging holes and greens rolled true when we played. Tee boxes could use some upkeep clearing debris and a mow but aside from that had a great time. Slightly overpriced by about $10-$15 but again, a solid course. Only complaint is the grill doesn't offer breakfast or open until later in morning.
Left rangefinder on cart last time I played and they shockingly had it in lost & found 2 weeks later when I called after a business trip. Very happy the course has trustworthy employees.
Great layout
First time here and we really enjoyed it. Tee options for all HI's but even if you are playing the shorter tees, location and accurate shots into greens are critical. Great layout in very good condition.
Great course Challenging
Great course. Reviews and rating was accurate. Had never played in the area and did not know where to play. The course was in good shape. Greens had been aerated but rolled nice. Very challenging holes which made you make smart shot choices. Some of the greens and fairways were narrow and there are a lot of places to lose your ball and end up in a penalty area. Got to course about 35 mins before tee time, had planned on hitting some range balls but did not know that they were not included and decided not to make the walk back to the clubhouse to get a token for ball machine.
Nice course
First time here. The course was in good condition.
Great course
Played 18 holes, with an 11am tee time. Course was in great condition, not crowded and made for a very enjoyable day. Many elevated greens and water make this a fun but challenging course. Definitely coming back.
2nd round in dallas kept the bat high
Played champions the day before so i had a high bar set and sky creek didn't disappoint. the greens rolled true and were very quick, fast than champions. the layout and clubhouse are a site to see. the fairways are hard, not nearly as soft as champions. the bunkers need some work. challenging course. overall great conditions and the staff was over the top friendly and inviting. great rounds can be had at sky creek.
Gem of a course.
Very challenging course, very well maintained. Pace of play was excellent - less than 4 hrs. Staff is friendly.
